As a clothing manufacturer I worked with more than 200 brands so I think mostly clothing brands are failed due to 1. No proper motivation 2. No research about the deisgn and low vision 3. Low investment 4. Fear to take risks 5. Less knowledge of market and lack of knowledge of marketing strategies

As a newly entering into the marketplace with my brand person, I feel there's a lot of what you're saying I have checked off properly. My work hard play hard brand is up it's out and I'm just now beginning my marketing for it. Here’s my dilemma. Please give me advice. I have this unique idea, and I think, no one has done this yet. Im afraid that if I start selling this, there’s someone out there who will imitate this. Someone who has more money and influence that may steal the show from me. What is the best thing to do? I don’t have the means and knowledge to protect my ideas.
The only true protection you have for an idea today is to hold a patent. To get one, it needs to be novel and it takes time (that is definitely worth the investment). BUT for the patent to mean anything you gotta protect it legally. Which means that if you pursue legal recourse, you should have the money for a lawyer. So that creates a dilema. One which will require you to at the very least have a provisional patent AND start marketing and selling the product. By proving it, you can get the funding to protect it and grow your business. Pretty generalized, but its the route I've taken multiple times.
Senior santos what if my niche is durable futuristic streetwear? Would i advertise through influencers? I tried using instagram once. After months i had no traction. Granted i did not make videos involving my face and i was selling scrunchies.@@johnxsantos
