How can you compete with external hormones that increase your strength and testosterone by several factors? You would have to be a freak of freaks to win, with a clean slate. Even if youre a freak of freaks, you would be incentivized to actually take hormones. Why? Because you would be like Mike Tyson, destroying everyone in the cage and speedrunning your pro career. So even if you had good genetics to somehow beat people who are on steroids, while youre not, youre still incentivized to take doses
I think the fact that every time something like epos etc. gets brought up and there’s always this kinda awkward answers and a in general weird feeling.

It’s a wide spectrum from having a minor recovery advantage to major performance enhancing with dangerous side effects. I’m saying probably close to 90% take AT LEAST something very minor if they are in the top percentage of athletes and we are talking about ranked title challengers when it comes to most of Jon Jones’s opponents. There’s a reason most fighters don’t really go after him, cause deep down they know the truth, it’s mostly just fans that are in denial.

I think the first actually clean guy he fought was Smith. And he was off the juice as well for the Reyes fight. The difference is, when 100% of the kings of MMA are on gear, hiding it from the anti-doping agencies becomes a part of the job just like fighting itself is. Which is why I give the cap to GSP as the GOAT. He was also on gear, but he never failed a PED test.
