I hade no choice, to guess anything different: I had a girlfriende in those days, who tortured me over 3 years about Shakira... just because I was honestly talking about her brilliant live performance in comparison to a live performance of Mrs. Spears... Big mistake... but it was too late and never vanished: Her inquisition-attacks about Shakira were so cruel, that I avoided further on, to buy a TVmagazine, in case Shakira was on the cover... Thank god we have two similar TVmagazines in Germany... so in case 'she' smiled from one of both covers - I of course bought the other Magazine... Our table in the livingroom had a surface of glass, and our TVmagazines were placed in the étage down under that glass... You may guess: dozens o half naked models were 'allowed' to twinky twinky from there 2 weeks long - except 'HER'. My 'relationship' to Shakira remained in this deeply disturbed modus, surrounded by stiff Rocks in stormy sea even until today, more than 15 years after me and that girlfriend seperated...

In Holland yes, but in Belgium not so much. Concert organizers and visitors are only interested when she sings Whitney's songs. Glennis wanted to do a concert in Belgium with non-Whitney songs and it was canceled by the organizer because ticket sales were extremely poor.

Even in Holland, Glennis can only do small music halls if she sings her own songs. Glennis based her entire career mainly on Whitney. She should have worked hard from the beginning to build her own career/succes instead of leaning on Whitney. Chances are very slim that she'll be able to cut herself loose from Whitney and achieve great successes of her own.
What a fantastic version of Whitney that was - perfect - made me go a bit glassy eyed listening to that - did the queen of R&B justice - cant ask for more than that.
She was a very good singer since her young age and looks so different those days. I don't know why no one sees a star emerging for that long time. Now, we all witness another Whitney reincarnated into this world.
