Most everything is wired dit-tip, dah-ring, ground-sleeve. If that's the way your paddle is wired I would swap the wires on the key jack inside the unit. I definitely thought fully counter clockwise was sounding the best.
Interesting! Yes, I did find keying weight is adjustable in the K2 and K4 manuals, so I’m assuming the K3 does as well. I didn’t find keying weight in the K1 manual. I have heard others, especially bug users call it “fist” or “swing”. Some of which makes it harder for me to copy, others might be a bit easier… not enough data to comment.
@@tyrueiI My KX2 has it (KX3 as well, I would assume). KX1 might be so stripped down, it was deemed unnecessary. I find I'm way more sensitive to the rolloff on the square waves to take the high frequency clicks out. Those are hard to listen to.

Thanks! Yes, the ohmmeter confirmed the paddle wiring and it works in the FT-817, Ten Tec Scout and K2. I’ll rewire the Keyer input.
Don't all the Elecraft's use weight? My ear is not so sensitive to weight settings but I guess some people really hear it.
