Don Francisco is an amazing poet, a great theologian, a true worshipper of Jesus and an accomplished musician. In addition to that he has a hilarious sense of humour. Since his 'Damascus road experience' in 1974, he has been faithfully and powerfully preaching the Gospel of a good and loving God through anointed songs and by living a life consistent with someone who had a real life experience with God. When you hear him speak or sing, you hear someone who stands in awe of God. Not only has he touched uncountable numbers of people with his ministry, but these people have gone on to bless others. Thank you for this interview. I wish Don many more years enjoying the goodness of His Lord.
"But we preach a Christ crucified This causes the Jews to stumble and is foolishness to non-Jews. But Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man's wisdom. (1 Corinthians 1 vs 23 - 30) God is love but He is also justice and righteousness. There is nothing that can cleanse the human heart other than the sacrificial death of the Son and his cleansing blood. This is objectionable to many. And this video is just another form of objection and denial of the essential nature of God's reconciling work. Don Francisco has written and performed beautiful music with poetic lyrics. But it is appalling that he is now denying the gospel. Think again I plead.
If I may text to edify then I will. The letters that were written by john, Paul, peter, wrote letters not to the word church but rather ekklesia the Greek word meaning in translation into English is, (called out) we are the called out! What are we called out of?; the righteousness that is according to the law. The Apostle Paul tried all of his life to become righteous by keeping all the law but Jesus showed up and explained to Saul that he was chosen to be an apostle to the Gentiles of the good news that your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more
Paul wrote his letters to churches. People assembled on the Lord’s Day, meeting in a structured facility of some kind. Also saying no one should be the pastor or teacher of a local assembly is antithetical to Paul exhorting Timothy about the very instructions given to some men to be in the capacity for leadership. The problem with your discussion is so much of what you are saying is just not Biblical.
Thank you for listening to the conversation and sharing your thoughts. Guests on the show are free to express their views, which may or may not align with those of the listeners or the host. The discussions are open, focusing on where individuals stand in their faith journey. Regarding Paul's letters, they indicate that early churches primarily met in homes, as seen throughout the New Testament. Paul also preached in various public venues to reach those outside the church, but there is no biblical evidence of dedicated church buildings as you mentioned. I agree that roles like pastors, teachers, and others are vital in ministry. However, the guest’s main point was to emphasize the importance of having a personal relationship with Christ rather than relying solely on hierarchical systems. This doesn't dismiss the support and value of the five-fold ministry but highlights that discipleship gifts aim to help believers directly receive truth through the Holy Spirit, as noted in 1 John 2:27. Additionally, the discussion touched on how we have sometimes over-structured these gifts with man-made rules, potentially losing sight of the simple call not to forsake gathering together, sharing words, songs, and other spiritual contributions, as encouraged in Hebrews 10:25-26. Thank you again for your feedback. I hope you continue to listen to future episodes and share your insights. While engaging in these discussions, I encourage us all to be careful in judging others’ faith practices, as their approach may also be rooted in biblical principles.
It's really funny but the word church is wrong why? because the word in Greek is ecclesia which means called out, so the letters that Paul wrote should be letters written to the called out in those particular cities
He speaks what all feel when read this in gospel accounts our 💕 burst with joy we realize he's alive.this song is a treasure that will last forever
