I use the Worst origin possible to give myself challenge, in my case MINER MANIAC feline is the worst origin, it ended up a to be a bad idea and stopped playing 1.17 and started playing bedwars :/
to be fair, feline is pretty good, i mean, no fall damage, scare away creepers, creepers wont attack you, slight night vision and you can be silent at the cost of just having 1 heart less and just having to mine slightly harder
Honestly inchling is the best. Small, clime walls, no fall damage. Fewer hearts ain’t a big deal, the only thing I wish it had was a power like speed boost when you eat sugar or temporary flight so you’re canonically a bug origin basically
Yeah, inchling is kind of op, except for the health, which might be annoying sometimes, but it's fine. Although there are some better origins, like piglin, starborne and phantom. I mean, inchling is better than most origins, but not all of them. My favourite is starborne, but everyone has different favourite origins

First time I was watching I was like: wait why is megamind here that’s all the origins already… right? And then they pull up human and I freak out, the most insane player is the one who uses the origins mod and plays vanilla with it
Phantom is objectively the best. The moment you have a steady source of food (late early game onwards) you can phase forever which immediately knocks out 2/3 of the weaknesses. When your at that point you become undetectable to anyone just by phasing, go anywhere you want anytime, and you can beat anyone in a fight by phasing in the floor when you need to eat. There is nobody remotely comparable to them.
man this is just so funny, im playing a modpack that has the origins mod and after reading all the races i could be and their weakneses, I looked up, saw myself in a mirror, and came to a very unsurprising realization. Im a human
Shulker is op in my opinion when it comes to mining, easily break through stone (cant break ores without pickaxe though) with 9 slots for your op gear that never drops when you die, barely take damage from hits because of the shield and the down side is only needing extra food
Too be honest Merling is the best choice. You basically late game rss in early game. Diamond is easy to find underwater plus no fall damage in under water caves. And the only mob you have to deal with is drowned. Getting a turtle helmet is easy.
you won’t be able to breathe on land infinitely with the turtle helmet i tried that, however you can set off a conduit which’s effect you will pick up on land
Merling and phantom are the best origins to me. Merling being my favorite since mining is a cake walk, there's never any mobs to worry about in the oceans so getting 💎 and other ores are a breeze. Same can be said for phantom too for obvious reasons
@@messaros715 im not sure, i havent played in my origins game for a while but i think merlings have to use potions of water breathing to survive on land similar to how its used in vanilla to breathe under water
Most uninteresting origins get underused. Shulk is a great origin, the food is only a problem early game, and not using shields isn't taht much of an issue considering many players use totems, or end crystals in their offhand anyway. Why isn't it used often then? It's boring. The same thing, but on a smaller scale, applies to blazeborn, it is interesting, and people choose it, but not as much as other origins simply because it doesn't offer anything unique, fire immunity, more damage, and removing statuses already exists in the game, so the origin is less appealing.
People Who say it's impossible to play feline because you can't mind stone, I have a tip! You get gunpowder from creepers to make TNT (should be relatively easy since creepers are scared of you So they want to attack) and you use said TNT to blow up the stone, simple!
ngl but phantom has helped me so much and its just fun to go underground when ur tm8s find u then pop back up with no gear or item to just punch them and do it again for fun
Merling in water is basically the peak origin Merling out of water is basically human but has to drink stuff every once in a while. Yea, merling is good, but still no one chooses it on my origins server.
I feel like Blaze is the best cuz it has really good buffs, one of it's weaknesses can get you good gear and is very temporary, and then there's water protection and doors and stuff to counteract your other weakness pretty quickly
I rank them by how fun or interesting they are to play as, so from the base ones I would say Elytrian is the most fun one From not the base ones but more known.. Probably the Fox/kitsune Oh and I forgot Phantom, that one is also pretty fun
@@janthejetplane5668 it's a quite different experience but I thinks is missing something, like a bit too basic, But from the underwater origins there's one based in the Kraken wich is pretty similar but with a Trident that drags enemies close to you and makes you slow outside of water, so u get the underwater experience + the extra unique thing(it probably has more stuff but that's what I can remember)
As someone that hosted many origins servers, i cannot deny or confirm your statement, because no one chose blazeborn yet. (I mean, someone did, but they haven't played yet, but i suspect that blazeborn is op as fuck in pvp)

Ender, shulk and blaze origins are meant to show dominance Elytrian, Arachnid and phantom origins are meant to troll your friends Avian, Feline and Merling origins are meant to troll yourself Human origin is meant to observe enemies kill you magically and to laugh at others.
If we are talking multiplayer, then enderian is A tier if no one wears pumpkins, phantom is great for pranking people and escaping, but sucks at direct combat, and shulk seems..... kinda meh tbh
@@janthejetplane5668 after a year i can safely say i was wrong skulk is just about ok not op but phantom is still broken everything you said plus its great at pvp you can hit someone sink into the ground go up hit someone and repeat only problem is if the ground is like one block deep over a cave or something but otherwise its great
this is the most agreeable and undebatable tier list ive seen, true chads are the ones who play the shittiest origins or even no origin at all

Fun fact: merling is the only origin with ups and only one down but counts as a trade off perk
the down is so big it balances out all the ups
The 'down' makes it basically impossible to go to the Nether

Inchling in PvP sucks to fight. But apocalypse origins adds the bane of the small which makes it easier

and if Im correct and the conduit (yea remember that shit?) makes you breath air and land cuz vice versa
When you play singleplayer with the origins mod installed and pick human: It's not about the mod. Its about sending a message.
