    WHY SUBSCRIBE TO WHOLESALE TED?
    Hey there I am Sarah (aka Ted). On this channel, I discuss topics for online entrepreneurs building businesses. And here is the truth when it comes to building a business: it isn't a way to get rich fast. Nope. A business is simply when you learn to do these 3 things really well:
    1) Creating or finding great products/services to sell.
    2) Putting those products in front of the right customers.
    3) Giving those customers a great reason to buy.
    And each person will have their own journey to get there with a LOT of hard work & sacrifices along the way 💪👊 here on this channel, I make videos to help entrepreneurs along this journey. Some of the topics I discuss are:
    * Case studies of successful online businesses.
    * Tips, tricks & strategies on choosing the right online business for you.
    * How to make & sell products with ecommerce using beginner-friendly product sourcing methods (such as Print On Demand).
    * Tips & strategies to scale to more advanced product sourcing strategies (like wholesale fulfillment centers).
    * Help with some of the "legal stuff" (like trademarks & copyrights when doing business online).
    * And a sprinkle of entrepreneurial motivation thrown in too!
    I hope my actionable content can help you: whether you're running your own online business/online store, or are in the process of building one, and want some tactical advice to help you along the way. If that is you, subscribe today! 🔥

    Hey everyone just a reminder, impersonator scam bots that download my profile picture and pretend to be me are back. If anyone replies to your comment, trying to get you to call or text them, it isn't me. I don't get anyone to call me or text me.
    If it's me actually replying to your comment you can tell, because I will have a tick next to my username that will be Wholesale Ted. If you don't see that, it isn't me, even if they have stolen and copied my profile picture!

    People often mistakes “passive income” with “free money”… passive income is a result of “one time work”, it doesn’t fall from the sky.
    To earn passive income you need to do some kind of work that recurrently interest to other people. The “passive” comes after that one time work, more or less like interest on a savings account; the savings accounts only earns you money because you made a deposit at the beginning.
    More examples:
    -you spend some time making a TH-cam video: that video earns you money for as long as anyone keeps viewing it, no matter how many years into the future;
    -you spend a bunch of hours developing and setting an online store: from that point on you are making passive income every time anyone buys an item from that store (we’re talking about POD and dropshipping stores, of course);
    -you spend a bunch of hours making a video course or writing a book: every time that course or book is sold, you earn passive income.
    Bottom line: passive income needs you to be active in the first place, developing something that appeals to others. Only then you can sit back, relax and enjoy your passive income :)

      most of what is said on the internet is nonsense, it is difficult to create a business today on the internet because there is too much competition for anything, only those who prostitute themselves in some sense over the internet may earn something, the rest is a lie. to make money online you need to know a lot more than what is being said

    • @Michael_black777
      @Michael_black777 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markomaric7762 yeah. there is a very high competition, because everyone is trying to make money through the internet.

    • @SuperiorityQomplex
      @SuperiorityQomplex 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@markomaric7762 I don't really find that. Starting a business up now a days is easier than it's ever been. And starting an online business can be tough if you are trying to compete with other people, yes, I agree. However, why compete? Niche it up to something that not everyone else is competing with.
      Like what if we took coffee shops as an example. You'd be competing with the big guys like Starbucks and Tim Horton's and Dunkin Donuts etc, plus the mom and pop shops that have their little coffee stores everywhere. That is a lot of competition to compete against. So what happens if you opened a Tea Shop? In North America anyway, Tea Shops are not nearly as universal as coffee shops. Now you stand out because you're a rarity and novelty.
      If you think of how to niche things up, it's pretty easy to avoid the competition and become the one place that people go to looking for whatever you happen to sell.

    • @excelsior8682
      @excelsior8682 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@markomaric7762 Incorrect. There are literally only three criteria that are important, and this applies to ANY job you do, ANYWHERE, internet or otherwise:
      1. The need for what you do
      2. Your ability to do it
      3. The difficulty in replacing you.
      If you're following the crowd, you're already doing it wrong.

    I never understand the fuss about your accent. I dated a guy from New Zealand and he was adorable. I understood him (and you!) just fine.

    • @WholesaleTed
      @WholesaleTed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Haha thank you! 😁 Happy New Year to you too.
      I guess I am quite biased: to me, I find that the best way to market is to have the best product and to understand your customer the best. Amazing products sell themselves and gain traction really quickly and so marketing them is much easier than trying to market a meh product. But the honest truth is I find most new entrepreneurs skip over that part of finding a niche/gap in the market (they see it as a "soft skill") and many are really into the idea of "optimizing" Facebook ads, SEO, etc and treating it as a numbers game versus a human game (the "hard skill").
      And so because lots of TH-cam channels like to focus on making videos around marketing tactics already, I tend to make videos around products/niches/sales psychology because I feel like if more people go this part down, they would find their marketing way easier! But I will definitely try to make more videos on this in the new year. I made a video on this a lot of people haven't seen showcasing my strategies that I actually did in conjunction with Shopify if you'd like to check it out: th-cam.com/video/5R9uAue8uf8/w-d-xo.html

    Stumbled on the channel this week and so glad I did. Have been looking at starting various projects over the last year but never pulled the trigger. I'm 50 this year and decided I need a new direction and always wanted to try something different and challenge myself if I could do it.
    Would love some direction or suggestion where to start, a little overwhelmed with all the different ways to make money. Tee shirt printing, FBA, FBM writing ebooks etc.
    I'm leaning towards FBA and tee shirt printing but cannot decide or have the expertise for such a venture. Any help to get an enthusiastic 50 year old going would be greatly appreciated.
    What is a reasonable amount/figure/capital would need to start small and scale, marketing etc?

    Hi Sarah, congrats on your channel, love your honesty. I'm not sure if you read comments this far down but if you do and your looking for an idea for a new video, I'd be interested to know what a realistic monthly expense budget would be for a beginner.? Like costs for shopify, web hosting etc. are there any other expenses that people don't talk about? I suppose advertising is one of them like the costs of Adsense and Facebook marketing. You mentioned very roughly print on demand profit margin is about 20% so I'm wondering what that looks like when you factor in monthly ongoing costs? Thank you :-)

      Most traffic I get these days is actually free/organic traffic. Ads is just one way to drive traffic, there are lots of free options too. Shopify & I made a video discussing that topic here: th-cam.com/video/5R9uAue8uf8/w-d-xo.html I hope it can be helpful 🌞

    thanks for all your videos
    Any thoughts on the new tax rules over money transactions through apps, in the USA?
    It would be nice to hear what you have to say on the matter
    Also, how about more videos about taxes/opening a bank account (or using an international one) in the USA?
    All the best to you

    Hi Sara, It is pretty hilarious when hearing my Kiwi friends come in to hotel... also during my visit to Queenstown (beautiful country you have!)
    Queenstown only a small fraction of the beauty..
    and not only that, the warm and friendliness of Kiwis, SUPERB!!
    Back again... to hotel...
    "Hello, check-in please"
    (sounds like: chicken, please)... 😅😆🤣
    Also.. in a clinic "We're going to test you"..
    (sounds like: We're going to tease you..) 🤪 🤣
    ✌ peace... hope to be able to visit NZ again soon!
    Love from Singapore, love from the past.. 😉

Two Canadian news shows did 1 hour programs but I saw a full length version when I first saw the interview if I remember correctly.
