you can kill the mimics by pulling them into the real world with the lamp! when you do they actually drop the item they were pretending to be. just stay in the real world and pull em out! the mimic items light will waver and sway when you look at it its noticeable if you look

Myth, it pains me to see you caught by the mimics so much.
You can tell a mimic because the gold light above the loot is aggressively wavey. You can kill them by using soulflay on the loot drop.
Yeah it's literally an anglerfish light. Also, if you run past and don't kill the mimic, IT MOVES BETWEEN ITEMS IN THE ZONE
also Mimics: the Item tail wiggles a lot, you can soulflay them to kill the mimic and still get the item. If you die to a mimic it relocates in the general vicinity of where it originally was
Those moths that get you every time are called mimics because they mimic an item to be picked up. To spot a mimic you can see that the straight vertical golden line of an item is flickering to a curve instead of stay straight and true. You can soul flay the mimic for the item at hand, aim at the mimic take your lantern out and soul flay (LT RT) hope this helps :)

mimic items look different from regular items. The tail that trails off the top of the item drop wavers a bit if it's a mimic

Man I have been loving this game. I'm definitely going for the platinum. I'm going to be playing this game for awhile as I want to get everything in the entire game. I wanna find all the secrets and everything. Once I have achieved that I will still play it and help other players in multiplayer
Does multiplayer even work yet? I have never been able to get into someone’s game.
@fogstorm5531 it's still not perfect but better than before. They just pushed out a huge performance patch and more bug fixes just the other day as well.

Your taking more damage cause the upper Pilgrems Rest is meant to be done after like another 4 places you havent been yet, Mines, Depths, Upper Calrath and Fief

I like how after you light the second altar the game makes you backtrack to other areas. It's that metroidvania aspect that makes souls games so good.
Boody Glory is what I use... Instant bleed also I use eye that when you charge heavy attack and someone attacks you while you in "blue" charge you don't lose hp only wither dmg so you literally just stand there charge attack enemy hits you you hit them back for like 1k and get while wither dmg back
The umbral eye isn’t as powerful anymore cause they nerfed it. I use Bloody Glory and the Iron Wayfarers hammer together, maxed out-they are the highest damage weapons in the game.
Can do 1,700 damage a hit.

Seeing Myth run pass so many enemies, is the exact consequence I felt would happen as a result of this encounter design. People like to act as if it's not an issue, but there's no reason to fight any of them. And due to mobility, you'll only die to cheap sh**.
Agreed. I think we all end up running past a lot of enemy groups after playing a Soulsborne game a few times, but when you end up doing it during your first playthrough because the enemies are too numerous to bother with, that's usually a bad sign.
And you miss alot of the game
@fishnutz5196 You're saying that like it's a bad thing. Individual item pick ups are not game changers, and there are far too many encounters that lead to pitiful rewards to care about that. Oh look four dogs stacked in a corner protecting an item, I wonder what it is.... oh, 3 consumables I'll never use.
@@TheHeartThatRunsCold not talking about shit like that, talking about the fact hes in an area scaled higher than 4 other areas hes missed... Mines, Depths, Upper Calrath and Fief all come before this point in the game. I havent seen the issue iv cleared 100% of the game on my first playthrough at about 50hrs and only encounter i would call bullshit is the final umbral zone in Fief with 3 face dudes. Compare that to some of the bullshit encounters in Elden Ring and its not that bad at all
Oh come on. The whole game is just swarming the player with enemies from all sides, inlcusive archers. It is not fun discovering the areas at a slow pace, because it is all bs that comes after you and it is not worthwile not to run past almost anything. Anyone denying this is just being dishonest or has no clue about gamedesign, good difficulty and enemy placement.@@fishnutz5196

Personally I played through this game not locked on in 1vX situations. I mostly lock on when in a 1v1.
MYTHY if the item drop has a tail swirling around it's a MIMIC!
Been loving this series and this game. I reslly wsnt them to update and add to it, the universe is so dope
They’ve added small DLC stuff, but to compete it, it is too convoluted.

Hey myth. A hint to know if the item is potentially a mimic is to look closely at the floating tail. You’ll see the subtle difference between the two.

Those mimics can be pulled out if you use the lamp you can’t lock on just stand close enough
about the reapers weapon: I don't actually think you can farm the second one, I only got it later in the game when I found a hidden area
2:14 Seems like a slightly buggy interaction. Like, my suspicion would be the following:
1: You literally had no un-withered health
2: Withered health disappears when you get hit rather than when you take damage
3: You got hit, losing all of your health and therefore dying because you technically didn't need to take damage to be killed.
With all these mimic comments, I expect the next episode will be you soulflaying every item you see just in case.
those item mimic thingies have a wiggling golden glow. regular items dont. you can also use a lamp charge to kill the creature and then you can safely pick up the item

in this first zone I also went up but I never noticed lift to the upper castle... I totally skipped that whole place, those double bosses drop weapon I want

Myth is really good at souls-likes, but his deaths crack me up everytime especially when he gets silent after x)
Soul-flay mimics...you can tell b/c the "tails" they have curl around and move a lot
myth when you pull out their souls you can hit the soul without the need of hitting the enemy.

You might not read this but the things that bite your head off, the item animation looks different then normal, it’s a lot more swirly from side to side.

If you see an item and it wiggles alot, that is a Mimic.

I don't know if it's just me, but I start to enjoy this series less and less. Half of the clips now are complains about mimic and dying to random stuff while running throught the map avoiding everything.

Bro, u missed a chest where that mini-boss with the radiance hammer was...on the right of that center shrine (with the open cave entrance to your back), there are some stairs, go up and there is a door to your right, open and find the chest.
You need to learn to parry my man parrying is op in this game and when dodging just one tap the dodge button to backstep that will make you avoid getting hit while being in range to land a hit
Myth accidentally going into a higher level area.
Really disappointed in the number of boss battles for this game. Elden ring had about 3 times as many boss fights and much more exploration opportunities. Finished the game in about a week. While Elden ring took me around 3- to a month
The title is 3 extra bosses but most of this video has nothing to do with bosses.

Screw this game it is completely unplayable on series x. It’ll let me play for a bit then like clockwork whenever I make any progress the game stutters like crazy and crashes on me. I’ve changed settings, went offline and nothing works. Cool game but it is unplayable for me right now on series x and frankly I’m pretty pissed off about it
