    Great help, thanks. I am wanting to create cladding with James Hardie profiles and have downloaded the James Hardie complete library but am at a lose on how to import (if that's the right term) into ArchiCAD. Do you have a lesson on this type of thing? Thanks

      I made a video about how to create any cladding. This will solve your problem :) just search for it as it’s easy to find.

    Great Video as usual Tomic. I have two questions. The first one is regarding Snaping. When drawing multiple stories, I always get snaping issues where I draw the Wall on the 1. Floor in referenz to the Wall on the Ground Floor (transperent GF). What I get is micro small offsets between the two and as a result always get these Lines on the Fasade (not clean). Do you have any tips for this. I always zoom in to the maximum to arrange the walls properly.
    Second question would be the working habits here in Vienna at some large Arch. Firms. What they do is oft model the whole Building in layers. They dont use wall as one part, Concrete, Insulation, Plaster, but they model each Layer seperatly. I see some benefits but is it like this in all mayor Firms?
    Thank you

      1. Make sure all your walls are set to storey 0. This wouldn't happen..
      2. This is an old way of making walls systems. When we used autocad this was the case but not many firms make individual multi layer walls now

      @@DavidTomic Thank you for quick response. I will try that
      It is just they get more control over the individual layers, can turn them on /off then send them to the site and so on. Specialy when they deal with some difficult geometry and Archicad wont conect the Walls as they should be.

    Wow. Great video. I was wondering if there would be any interest in doing a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) section to your teachings. There are section in ArchiCAD that has frames, girts, purling’s. But really there is nothing out there to help with the drawing of these building. It would be great to see this and learn how to use these tools that ArchiCAD already has in the system.
    Looking forward to you next video and thank you for having them, they have help greatly. Thank you.

      Great suggestion, simple enough to explain, just takes time to create in archicad. Will add it to the list

    Hello i have a question for you because i work with Archicad and i see your composites and i need to know did you create this composites or did you download from any websites this composites Thank you so much .

      They come standard in the Aus template. If you download the international one it has a few more. However in my actual template (private) I have created my own wall types.

    Can you do a video on cavity walls. When joining walls and closing cavity spaces on floor plan for doors and windows etc. Can't seem to get this right.

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That relates to intersection priority in this video. Change those settings and you'll solve your problem :)

    Great video as usual.... 👍👍
    Also at 2:27 , we have severely less wall types IN education edition... But that's expected I guess 🤷‍♂️

      Working on putting together a template for everyone to download, just is a lot of work so it's taking me forever haha

    Why doesn't archicad do pitched walls, does it just not work with the programming language?
    Doing parapet walls on a pitched roof and having to mess about with complex profile beams in 3d, not good :/

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't understand your question..parapet walls extend past the roof line, they would be fixed to the side of the wall, thus no pitch required. Jump on the discord chat and let's see if we can solve it

    • @Danster82
      @Danster82 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a flat roof it's fine but with a pitched roof you would need a pitched wall to extend beyond the roof or a pitched wall to draw a complex wall parapet ontop.
