- Today we place the LEGO HOME ALONE set and COMPLETLY CHANGE the LEGO CITY residential area!! The area has never really been the best part of the city so we decided with the addition of the Home Alone set we better give it a complete makeover. We added tiles to the sidewalks, street lights, Minifigure storytelling, upgraded all of the houses, and much more! 8:26 that small house, with a huge baseplate yard.
That could easily be the "rough" house. The house on the block that has cars in the yard, with hoods open, uncut grass, and maybe a boarded up window or two.

I think that the farm would look out of place next to the residential area but otherwise great update!

We used to have them connected, but we removed the connection for a few reasons

Besides being the only house with snow on it, I think the placement is great. If only you could squeeze some winter village sets by it.

While I'm new to your channel Bricksie, I'm glad I discovered you as I'm getting into LEGOs for the first time and have just completed Central Perk and my resolution for 2022 will be to somehow get the Home Alone set and complete it as it'd be my largest project yet. Even larger than the Stranger Things one was. Here's what I've done so far: Chicago, Vegas, San Francisco, Paris, The Big Bang Theory, Central Perk, Seinfeld and Stranger Things. I do like the aesthetic of the LEGO City you built and I wish I had the space to do the same. Thank you.
Looks really nice 👌 maybe you schuld remove the fence at the gas station so trucks can fill up there vehicles to. Think looks good to if you place the fence next to the bulb

You are always improving!....which is why your channel is so cool! Residential area looks real cool. One issue is that the camera moves a bit fast and hard to take in details. Maybe do screen shots and slide reel video with background music.

Have you ever thought about adding verticallity to the ground? Such as hills, so all the houses aren't on the same level. It would be very, very expensive, but also really cool. The best-looking towns aren't flat.

How can this guy upkeep all lego collection, all pieces clean and beautiful without any dust?
i think that baseplate underneath home alone set should be white as it heavily snowy area which make the roadplate next tothe homealone set lead to snowy village mountain!
We plan on maybe changing it to white in the future but just didn't have any on hand. We added some white slopes for now to make it a bit more snowy. We're just saying that it's either the beginning of winter or end, so the snow is half gone 😆

In my opinion it still seems like a lot of that space is covered in roads, and I think it could be better optimized. You never have any houses back to back, they all just back onto a road, or the edge of the table. If you had houses back to back somewhere, you could really cut down on the amount of roads you need.
It is a lot better looking now though. I like the placement of the police station; very central to that section of the town.
We can make that change in the future, but as it is now we don't have sets to fill the space, so it would be empty plates anyway. As we build more for the area we will continue to reduce the road.
@@Bricksie Fair point. Looking forward to seeing that happen! And for now, it does look really good. The Simpsons house looks less out of place with another house so big next to it, I think.

The only lego set I have, is the 3 in 1 Townhouse. I remember getting it when I was 14, after I finished primary school. It was such a hit back then and I cried of happiness when I got it. An old but amazing set 😁

Great improvement. Only thing that looks out of place is the Grave Yard. Think it would look better to the right of the Haunted Mansion. Keep up the good work
They used to be side by side but we actually think they look better apart.
