    I must admit I did like the modular layout in the old house and am somewhat glad you've gone back to your roots so to speak. However, I still think the amusement park is too big and whilst it looks so much better where it is, it does take up alot of usable space for any sort of city expansion later on

    Bricksie Land looks great! I think you should build a central boulevard (similar to Disney World) and “dress up” the entrance even more. Feeling like the Disney Train is actually a part of the experience-even just by walking over the tracks, makes for a better minfig story. Further, with all of that extra space, I think creating mini-theme parks (Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.) would look awesome as well!

    You should put your pet shop and Peter Parker’s apartment area back to back with the corner garage, detective’s office and palace cinema area. So on the back (the place where use to be the pet shop and assembly square area) you could put some skyscrapers, so they wouldn’t hide the view of the modular buildings while still being in the city!

  • @stephenphillips6456
    @stephenphillips6456 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks great. To create more space in the downtown core, the Disney costume shop can be moved to the theme park as a variation of the Disneyland Emporium. Diagon Alley will also work well in the theme park, similar to Universal Studios. Along those lines, the Sesame Street display may also work better in the theme park.

    I was incredibly alarmed when you said you were removing the access holes, but your solution is actually super clever! Also bringing Mrs. Bricksie on the team was definitely a good idea, hats off to the amount of work you guys put in😄

    At about 6:55 you can hear the stress in Bricksie’s voice. But by the end you hear the joy and excitement about the new possibilities and how good the new layout looks. Great job taking a risk. It’s going to be awesome.

  • @thespoon5403

    Love the new layout! Where the pet shops are, you should put the skyscrapers as they would provide a great backdrop to the downtown core

  • @TheRealSweedie
    @TheRealSweedie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I really like the downtown area, however, I feel like the amusement park is almost too big at the moment. Even if you'd shrink it back about 1/3 it would make it feel more proportionally correct. I also don't like the train track going around it like that, it feels unplanned.

    10:08 you could also make a custom leaky cauldron there

    Now that there’s more space in the amusement park, I think you should make Diagon Alley and attraction in the park like at Universal.

    That Camp ground Brother is off the chart!... I think the moves have been an improvement... im not comfortable with the track in front of the Bricksie entrance though... we need a plan ... Get Mrs B on that one! ... Great Video... enjoy the weekend

    The city looked great before, but now it's on its way to superb! Nice solution to replacing the holes. In future if you needed more room for buildings you could always shrink the amusement park by one row of base plates as it seems there is ample room for the park attractions right now. Thanks for sharing!

  • @WienClown
    @WienClown 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    At first I was concerned about that drastic change but I really like how you gained so much more space by "filling" the access holes and rearrange the buildings. I also think that with that enormous changes your city will be much more flexible now, as you don’t have to rebuild everything to redo one block or to rearrange the street layout. Really well done!

  • @bjornhuydts2357
    @bjornhuydts2357 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Also believe the amusement park area is too big compared to the downtown area. I loved the skyscrapers (hospital and Avenger tower), maybe make use 1/3 or even half of the theme park to put those back in.

    As It’s ALWAYS Been Said.... LEGOS Can Be Built And Rebuilt.... Just Like The LEGO City.... It’s A Work In Progress. Knowing How Both You Jordan And Josée Are.... This Project Will Turn Out Simply AMAZING!!!! In Regards To That One Small Table That Can Be Moved To Give You Access To The Middle Of The City.... I Thought You Could Add Thin Moving Coasters At The Bottom Of Each Of The Legs So The Table Could Slide Around More Easily.... It Should Help. I Look Forward To Seeing The Video Of The Completion Of The City.... And I Can’t Wait Till That Day 😁👍🏼

  • @guleri
    @guleri 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    smart solution with making a pull-out table instead of having the access holes. The new layout looks very good. Got a lot of space to fill in the amusement park, but I'm sure you'll get to that in due time. Looking forward to see your Ninjago Islnad with the mountans around it.

  • @oakley686
    @oakley686 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Pretty spectacular job! I know nothing is permanent yet, but i'm not a fan of the placement of the ninjago city with the modern police station and the fire department so close by. It would almost be better to move the residential area where the ninjago platform is, and move the platform closer to the park/beach area. Would be super cool if all the trains had to run under the ninjago platform. Then you'd actually be able to snug the platform against that wall and it would seem like it's "floating" as much. Just an idea, keep up the great work!

  • @DVIDEO

    Much better layout. Perhaps Spring Lantern festival can find a place in the amusement park. The hospital could then go next to the police station, instead of it being on a shelf.

    This looks amazing! Great Job Bricksie! Can not wait to see what you do next! You could actually start from the train yard and work your way up to the amusement park slowly finishing off sections of your city, because down near the train yard is almost done! And then you could spend loads of time on each section like you did with the beach and campground! This looks spectacular and I love what you have done keep up the good work!

  • @WardMaris
    @WardMaris 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really like the new lay-out! It looks so much better and all the buildings and the amusement park is much more accessible for the viewers of your channel! :) well done!
    If I could give you one advise though, it is to make the amusement park a bit smaller, so you might fit another row of buildings. The rides are very big, but they are very far apart from one another, so even if it gets tiled in, it won't look as 'dense'... :) (just my thought/idea)
    I also think that the chances are bigger of getting more buildings than amusement park rides to integrate in your LEGO city! good luck with all the hard work!

  • @nathanpfeifer4910
    @nathanpfeifer4910 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Push the train station back toward the center till you hit the mini modulars, then add a passing siding, if there's enough space, to the train track for loading and unloading passengers, just a pro tip!

  • @davidgate4306
    @davidgate4306 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    loving the new downtown core, personally I am still not sure on the ninjago stuff being up on platform, i liked it when you had it down by the water. I agree with a few other comments that the amusement park is getting pretty big in its new postition. Have you thought about it being down by the beach? and then swapping all the houses, factories and rail yard with it. Think that would look really cool as then all the city stuff is together and then the leisure stuff is together. So camp ground, beach and amusement park are all together. This also makes abit of sense with having train stations for the city dweller to take the train down to the beach or to Bricksie Land

  • @kakaisawesome
    @kakaisawesome 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    One thing you could do for the Amusement park entrance is to have it on a raise platform where the minifigures walk up stairs from the side walk onto the entrance platform. And once they go through the platform they’d go down another set of stairs to enter the park. And the train track would go under the platform. I hope that makes sense!

  • @brandonsmith-ud9rz
    @brandonsmith-ud9rz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    For the amusement part you could make an elevated part of the track that goes above the entrance for the “pedestrians”, almost like the Disneyland set up, but maybe make it a bridge looking incline and crossover not a land one.

  • @xavierlacasse58

    Been there! I've been planning my LEGO city for three years based on Linmon tabletops for when I finally have enough room to build it. Now I finally have all the room I need and they discontinued the Linmon line... They replaced some of the sizes with the new Lagkapten line but the most convenient 3 by 6 baseplate size doesn't exist anymore. I have now replaced those with two 75cm*75cm Melltorp tabletops each. Not ideal because it needs more supports but since most of my tables will have drawer elements (Alex) under them it was still managable.

    Maybe it's possible to build a kind of platform for the Spring Latern Festival.
    To arrive ontop of the Ninjago Section it needs a way to walk. And on the half of this way could be that platform with the set. Placed between some rocks and plants

  • @NitrousDiecast

    Just watching the video, i think i have an idea for you to access the middle of the table with no holes in the middle of your lego layout. Consider putting casters on the legs of one or two of the side tables, and you could roll them back and forth to gain access to the middle... this would require the table that moves to not be connected by any base plates of course...lol. Edit, i see that you are using this idea...lol.

  • @michaelfinny7538
    @michaelfinny7538 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow, that last lay out didn’t even last half a year. I’m going to reserve judgement until this one is more complete. I do have to say that I rally liked the entrance to Bricksieland in the other lay out. Between buildings like it was kind of directed your eyes to the entrance and the Disney store on the corner made lots of sense. Not sure I like the entrance as you have it now. Just one thought I had. But wow, what a lot of work this must have been.

  • @evanurmom649

    I think it was time for this rebuild. Whenever new modulars come out they have a domino effect on everyone’s LEGO city. I think it’s also necessary to reduce the size of the amusement park by 1/3. I think placing the amusement park closest to your desk is the best configuration because downtown should be the “central” business district
