  • Struggle with stubborn fat? Then this video is for you!
If you want me to coach you personally, you can apply for 1-on-1 Online Fat Loss Coaching: www.iwannaburnfat.com/online-...
    -------------------------------------
In today’s video, I will dive into detail on the topic of how to lose stubborn fat. First, I’ll explain why we have stubborn fat around areas like the hips and stomach and then we will look into practical solutions you can use to decrease stubborn body fat.
Now, most people are able to achieve good fat loss at the start of their journey. If you watch your diet by controlling calorie-intake and have a consistent exercise routine, the needle will move in the right direction. But for most people, the fat loss seems to be very slow in the stomach and hips area. Instead, you may notice your arms leaning down, by seeing more apparent veins while training biceps, or your face and legs become slimmer. And there is actually a scientific explanation for why your body often preferentially loses fat in certain areas before others.
We know you need a calorie deficit to lose fat. When you consume fewer calories than your body requires, you create an energy deficit that your body compensates for by burning mostly fat. When this calorie deficit is present, your body signals fat cells to release energy in the form of fat. These signals are received by two types of receptors. Beta receptors speed up the release of fat, whereas Alpha receptors slow it down.
It has been theorized that the fat cells of stubborn parts of your body like the fat around the stomach and hips contain more alpha receptors than beta-receptors. Because of this, the fat loss around your belly fat and hips is slower.
So now that we understand why you have stubborn body fat, what can you actually do about it? Anytime I get this question, people often expect a magic solution that will get rid of your belly fat in a few weeks. But that’s not how the human body works. To get some misconceptions out of the way, let’s start with what does not work for reducing belly fat. Things like fat-burning pills, waist trainers, and targeted abdominal training do not work.
What does work is patience, this may not be the answer many people want to hear. But the stubborn fat solution is simply about getting leaner. While you may mostly lose fat in your face, back, or any other area at the start, if you get lean enough, your body does not have any other option than to lose more of its stubborn abdominal fat.
But while abdominal training does not help burn abdominal fat, it can still be helpful in your journey. Strengthening the abdominal muscles via weighted abs training helps you develop the abdominal muscles. When you have more developed abdominal muscles, they will be more prominent once you are at a lower body fat percentage.
Also, I’d like to emphasize that completely getting rid of all your stubborn body fat and getting shredded to the bone is not something you have to do be physically fit. Unless you are a competitive bodybuilder it is even desired to have a bit of a body fat cushion. Especially if you currently don’t carry a lot of muscle mass, it’ll be tough to get rid of all your body fat while still having good muscle definition.
We can definitely decrease stubborn fat by staying consistent with a calorie deficit. But you will typically look more muscular and feel more energized keeping a bit of a belly fat cushion.

For most people, certain areas of your body lean down slowly compared to other bodyparts. Specifically, the belly/hips area is quite stubborn in terms of fat loss. Why is this happening and what can we do about it? That's the topic of today's video!

Chewing gum won't help with losing face fat. You may somewhat develop the muscles around your cheek area.
