Give credit to Nick. He has stopped going for every single 4th down ever. Can’t blame him for the kicker missing field goals. We were hard on him for his calls. He made good choices today.
@@bedhead7454that’s a good point. Sho knows if Nick realized this in the Jacksonville game but Elliott was not playing well at all. Was he injured before?
@@jrcrit8843 maybe. It was strange. He seemed more angry than defeated(slight but important distinction) so i don't think hes physically hurt at least not bad. He knew he should've made those as His power seemed there still but his accuracy was way off. Who knows, but, Nick will have to say something because everyone will be questioning him about that.
@@jrcrit8843Still not sure if that defends Nick entirely. The one game, he declined several short kicks but then sent out Jake for a 50+ yard kick. If he expected Jake to have struggles, not sure those choices make sense.
If we have to Run the ball allll the way to the Super Bowl... so be it! Great team win! Shout out for the defense and the young secondary playing LIGHTS OUT. Double or triple team, Jalen Carter is a beast and a game wrecker! I can't wait to see this team continue to grow as the season goes on. Fly Eagles Fly 🦅
We all need to accept that there really is no such thing, at this level, as a "perfect game.". That said, what the Eagles continue to tantalize us with, is the PROSPECT of a "perfect" game. If and when they put together four quarters of football, played to their potential, in all 3 phases, I honestly think they could beat any team in the league, ANY team, by 2 or 3 touchdowns. Granted, that's a very tall order, and perhaps an unattainable goal, but we have seen glimpses, sometimes long glimpses, of dominance. I still believe their best games are yet to come this season. Don't be surprised if it happens.
I need to add a second comment. I could be wrong. But I was actually impressed with the offense. Here is why: they stuck with the run no matter what. They could have easily abandoned their commitment to it, but they stuck with it and it paid dividends in the 4th quarter.
@@JustSomeGuy009 it literally is tho if you’ve been watching the games the gamelan doesn’t work first half and is changed. Then the offense start to get going in the 2nd.
Even when the Eagles were down, it felt like they were in control of the game. Nobody expects Jake Elliot to miss 2 FGs that are right in his Goldilocks zone. I do wish the Eagles had taken a couple more shots down the field, it felt like they didn't even try until the 4th quarter.
Our running game wore down the Washington defense, and by the time the 4th quarter rolled around, the Commanders D was completely gassed and Barkley was able to burst through and ice the game. There's value to sticking to the run just because it's not working in the first quarter, don't give up on it, not having early success doesn't mean it can't or won't work late
Saying Ertz isn't a Hall of Famer is an awful take. Dude is one of the best tight ends all time statistically and impact wise. With the way he's playing this year he might be moving even further up.
Defense is killer, but slow offensive starts will end us in the post season. It was a short week against a genuine threat in Washington. Get right during the mini bye.
Hurts is the glaring weakness on this offense. Washington stacked the box and dared Jalen to beat them through the air, and he couldn't do it. Moore didn't stick with the run game because he was trying to wear them down, he stuck with it because Hurts was playing like shit the whole game.
Sometimes I’m not sure y’all realize that QB’s have pressure in their faces and sometimes the ball can’t come out perfectly on time everytime smh The loony play to AJ when he was coming across the field Jalen was literally running towards the sideline to get away from a defender he had to turn his entire body straight to get the ball to AJ that’s why it took a while to get to him plays he had to get to the second window to throw it…Jalen didn’t play bad the offense was just stale at the beginning there was no flow everything was choppy the runs were predictable the routes were very simple which made it easy for commanders defense to stick to the receivers not to mention we literally had 3 scoring drives that first half Jake missed the FG’s so offense was definitely moving the ball Sometimes I’m not sure yall actually watch watch the games

Forgot to mention the fact that Nick (obvi) knew Jake had a problem. Especially after this game, really puts things into perspective
Agreed. Jake the Make had an uncharacteristically "off" night.

Fly Eagles Fly 🦅
Thank you for the positive note. Most of the people are so negative even though they won.
The D played very well. Reid B played a nice game. And Mitchell was sublime! Just took Scary Terry out of the game.
Flyyy Eagles Flyy
Maybe fans will finally stop bitching about not going for field goals.

Thanks for the positive comments. We need more of those. This is a team sport. One person does not win the game.
Quinyon is from another planet. Had scary terry in HELL tonight. Vic's doing an amazing job and the individual talent is insane. S/o Howie
This is the best eagles podcast by far! Thank you again!
Great win. Jake is worrying me though. Been feeling it all season then saw it in action.
We all know Saquon is an incredible talent but this dude's leadership is so damn important. Thank you Giants!
Who’s coming up w the offensive gameplan in the first half ?
Kellen calls em
It's not that deep, people need to stop insinuating this nonsense
Kellen Kevin Jeff and Nick

You gotta give credit to Washington’s defense. They played well.
I think the Eagles played very well for a short week.
Do you think the slow start is because of the walk-throughs on a short week?
50:00 Calista Flockhart.

AJ looks slow.
That knee will appreciate the 10 days off.
What do we do about Jake Elliott. What on Earth is going on?
So when do we get bradberry back, he’ll be able to take Qs spot I believe 🤔
?
@ you know I kid 🤣
Jalen has issues reading defenses.
breh. he was getting killed tonight. also the commanders defense was genuinely playing well
