I'm thinking of signing up for this one, not sure what kind of race will be allowed three months from now. But this fine video really sells the race! Congratulations on your experience and finish. 10/26/20 UPDATE; I entered and finished the race! It was an excellent 50K. Challenging, scenic, great aid, super volunteers, very good course marking (we went off course for 0.2 miles, but when when we got back to the intersection, it had been marked, just not as well as most of the rest; conclusion it was our fault), excellent RDs, and the coveted "Patapsco Valley 50K" coffee mugs. Thanks for posting your footage. (You left out most of the vert.....!)
lol, you may think you're about to finish it up...little did you know the race was closer to 33/34 miles than 31! ...At least, that's what I kept telling myself..."Surely the end is just around this next corner??" :) Great race and great video!!
Awesome, well if you run it again next year. I'll see you there. Will be doing The North Face Endurance Challenge 50 miler in April and looking for more Ultras to round out the year.
Danny Pimienta I’ll be back! Getting ready for the Bel Monte 50 in March. I ran North Face last year, still deciding if I’m going for it again.... maybe 50k.
Did you do the 50 miler or 50k last year? How was it? I get mixed reviews on NorthFace races....NY gets a really bad review. I see white oak has a 6 hour looped run....considering that as well as tune-up for NorthFace 50.
Danny Pimienta I did the Marathon, but had a couple friends do the 50k and 50 mile. They said the 50k was great, but weren’t to thrilled about the 50 mile. Just had some repeat loops and didn’t enjoy some of them. Beautiful course though, I’d say go for it but be ready for loops.

Nice video! I have this on my list for 2018.

SK M right! I had 33.75 on the watch and 34 on Strava. Not complaining, it was a little extra time on a great course.
Dude, you rock! Well done. Congratulations!!! (What an awesome video, too!)
Captain PQ thanks! It was a great course and really nice weather.
Great video!!! Way to crush it man!
Awesome video, looking to run this next year as a last tune-up for the JFK 50.
Danny Pimienta 100% recommended!

Most of the run seems great, except the wet shoes part, how close to the end do you have to soak your shoes
