Wow, Hasbro is trying to replace standard darts with a completely new caliber with built-in dart DRM! What a new and original idea that will definitely succeed!
But they have doubled down.. this is replacing ALL regular elite darts. There's already Minecraft blasters using N1 darts - after seeing how ultra floundered, they really thought "we just need to change it to foam instead of styrofoam"...
Hey guys, we heard you loud and clear. You didn't like what we did with ultra: Making a proprietary dart just for the heck of it. So we got you something cool and new that we're sure you're going to love: A proprietary dart just for the heck of it
@@michaels9595 that can be a secondary reason, but let's stop beating around the bush to what this is: It's dart drm. Hasbro has done it before (and failed), this is just another attempt at it
If they start taking legal action yes I'm sure they will. But the design itself seems easy enough to copy. I won't put it past them that that's the main reason. But at least there's a chance that it adds value this time.
What I feel Hasbro is trying to do is set up two completely separate groups for different ages, like the similar more easily operated N-series with cool looking shells and then the pro line for their older more hobby oriented audiences. And in doing this I feel like it’s a good choice, simplifying the ammo variety and honestly I don’t mind that the darts aren’t compatible with older darts because there marketing it for kids to have fun with it rather than actually trying to change the hobby standard
I think separating dart types by age demographic makes it harder for younger fans to make that transition into hobbyists since they will have to buy in to a new system, though u do make a very convincing point! :D
From a game organiser point of view I find it annoying that I will have to maintain a 3rd type in my dart pool. So far I have been able to get by with elite clones and rival. Kids wielding an ultra blaster are a rare enough occurrence, that stocking ultra never was needed. If this gets the main push on shelves, odds are I will see kids show up with blasters that I currently have no way of providing darts for.
@MidanMagistrate I have North of 14.000 elite clones and 2000 rival. I have no use for Nseries darts in my private load out. Tell me why it makes sense for me to buy a new dart type?

Are you saying you won't buy them because they haven't proven themselves to be an actual Elite replacement yet? Well, of course not. That takes time. If there were six different kinds of dart, and you wanted to be a successful organizer, then you would want six kinds of ammo. Two isn't some magical number/inherently best. Hi Luke. Greetings from the UK. Very much enjoyed your review of the Nerf N1 range. Checked online for a UK release date and was somewhat amazed that some of the range is already on sale here. These from a chain called Smyths Toys. Have therefore purchased a Sprinter, a Pinpoint and a 6 shot top load springer called the Strikeback. Build quality seems pretty sound but haven't tested the blaster yet. Seemingly it features a quasi recoil system. All being well will post further views later, although I have no chronograph to record velocities. All the best. Allan Woolston
ive been messing around with the ward and it's not bad, decently fun to dual wield i have faith in this series working out, also dope pfp dude Terrifier was the first horror movie in a long time to actually scare me.
I appreciate the behind the scenes explanations for Hasbro's design decisions with the new N1 dart line, and while I'm an older Nerfer outside of their target demographic I do like what they're going for with this line! At the moment all the local Nerf group games I play at are about 60% half darts, 30% full length darts, and 10% Rival rounds; and I like using drum blasters (the Tomcat, Villainator, and Alpha Auto 72 mainly) that I can top off and scavenge ammo for as I play so unless they become a very popular new standard I can't see the N1 dart blasters being a practical choice for me. However, it would be really cool to see a half length dart mod kit for the Infinite! It's an awesome looking blaster and that slim vertical drum magazine seems great, it just wouldn't be terribly practical in it's current form running a different type of ammo than everyone else on the field.
their is some more like a one like a Shotgun but it have inside mag hold 6 N-1s and it name is NERF N Series Strikeback Blaster and you can get it Rn in Ireland and uk
elite darts are just stiffer streamline darts, I own about 500 streamline darts and 20 elite darts, they are gummy and warped after all these years but if you want some for testing... xD
My honest opinion on n series is I personally think this will come back to bite nerf if they don't start releasing more unique blasters like the infinite as the rest of the current line up at launch is very samey to what we've gotten before.
This is actually super cool, my little cousins always wanna play with my blasters but they can't hold them up or prime them. These seem so slick looking. And in a way, it's nice they'll have their own ammo they can lose instead of losing mine. I'm jealous of the designs, they're very nice.
One must wonder how easy it will be to convert the Sprinter to standard or half darts. Either way, I do actually like the way that Hasbro is going with these, not everything they make has to be for performance (even though these definitely are on the high side of their performance bracket) and its nice to see some newer design language as well.
This is what I wondered. They wanted to upgrade velocity and accuracy since that is what the market wants, but instead of just improving their 'elite' dart with a better accustriike that is maybe heavier to reduce fishtails and then enhancing the plunger volumes for power, and switching to closed breach with plungers... They made a new dart altogether, not reverse or cross compatible. It's hyper all over again!
@@DatOneMudkip I think it is different, Ultra targeted for enthusiast but the dart couldn't deliver in comparison to Short Darts. N-series on the other hand is better then Elite and for new Kids it doesn't matter that much if the Darts are not compatible to older Blaster they don't have and DRM doesn't matter much for parent who buy those Blaster for their Kids. What is hard for Hasbro they have strong competitor with Dart Zone but in countries like mine where they don't exist, i see it become the new standard.
honestly, as much as i'm not at all interested in these blasters or the new darts, i wish they'd developed that chain magazine earlier for elites, it would have been amazing if the rhino fire had used an elite version of that, watching the two chains revolve firing from both barrels
That drum one looks a lot like a quick 16, one of my all time favourite blasters! I hope these do well, but yeah the proprietary hard to replicate darts feel like a shitty way to go.
Actually, it IS an improvement on Elite. Mind you, that's not saying very much. But for entry-level, it's not bad. Enough to persuade me to switch? No. But enough to persuade me to pick a few for friendly, indoor games with younger players? Yeah, maybe. BUT, the community may well hate the whole line, just because it's big, bad hasbro, just like Hyper (which I quite like). Interestingly enough, I just got the revolver and it ain't bad. My chrono gives low 90's and accuracy over short range isn't too shabby either. That said......X shot revolvers and k25 still kick the bums on these.
safer darts are better darts, but "proprietary" is a joke. make it open, you should have to compete to make them cheap but also correct, everyone should be able to use safer designs.
I appreciate the discussion about the regulations and constraints that Hasbro has. I've always felt that hobbyist in recent years have gotten too angry that a toy company didn't make products specifically for fully grown adults. I'm interested to try some of these out. Not thrilled about buying new ammo, but I understand why they went that way.
I have these blasters and I think the Agility is the best of the bunch. I still prefer my Strongarm, but I think the Agility has the nicest compromise between price, size, and performance. I don't find the new darts all that more accurate than the Elite darts and certainly not more than DZ waffleheads.
Fair Argument. But why the DRM? Hearing the Target Age and safety regulations, the New Dart Standard makes sense. ....but... I don't see how the DRM fits into that pretty picture... implication of greed and market competition souring my impression
Best part of video was hearing how the actually design them and all the LAWS they have to follow/keep in mind when designing these TOYS. Ive already sensed a shift in attitude and less b****ing and moaning from many influencers. Thank you for a really informative video. Ill probably start w the chain mag clip one for my boys.

this is my first time watching a video abt nerf in over five years and ngl I spent an embarrassing amount of time confused bc I was thinking of fps as frames per second 😭
The funniest thing is that N1 darts are literally better in allot of ways compared to elite darts! Better fps (N1 is about 85 usually and elite is about 71)
If I go to a toy shop where I live, I will only find Nerf dart blasters, maybe X-shot dart blasters and no name ones. Ultra was never going to achieve better sales than Elite because of the cost of the blasters and of the ammo. They are trying to replace elite by making lower cost and price blasters and ammo while improving slightly the performance. The Alpha Strike was only lowering the cost. I don't have a problem with that. I want kids and parents to be able to buy an affordable, safe, fun blaster.

I've been enjoying the Pinpoint.
ive been messing around with the ward and it's not bad, decently fun to dual wield
i have faith in this series working out, also dope pfp dude Terrifier was the first horror movie in a long time to actually scare me.
At TS-[12:00] This was about me , because I played the Video with 1.25 x Speed !!
the little handle on the Agility is gonna be great for the 8+ audience, i used to struggle a lot as a kid priming blasters like the Maverick.
Okay... I know it is proprietary, but these are actually really cool.
Not my scene, but I could see this doing well in the kid space.
so they release one short dart blaster, only to release another dart type right after
elite darts are just stiffer streamline darts, I own about 500 streamline darts and 20 elite darts, they are gummy and warped after all these years but if you want some for testing... xD
Not even a mention to hyper rounds at the start 🤣 What a way to disappear from the collective memory
I hope they continue elite type guns.
Not a fan of proprietary darts.
Why?
I do hope that giving it such an important name to this new series, as in N-strike when I was a kid, Nerf can keep this thing going
Is that a nerf halo magnum in the background
One must wonder how easy it will be to convert the Sprinter to standard or half darts. Either way, I do actually like the way that Hasbro is going with these, not everything they make has to be for performance (even though these definitely are on the high side of their performance bracket) and its nice to see some newer design language as well.
Why aren’t they converting elite darts in packages to accustrike darts? Are they more expensive?
This is what I wondered.
They wanted to upgrade velocity and accuracy since that is what the market wants, but instead of just improving their 'elite' dart with a better accustriike that is maybe heavier to reduce fishtails and then enhancing the plunger volumes for power, and switching to closed breach with plungers...
They made a new dart altogether, not reverse or cross compatible.
It's hyper all over again!
Okay Luke, great vid as always, but the number of times it appeared that like you looked down a loaded barrel ... anxiety lol. Also, new rayven hype!
Thanks for N-series Hasbro
The magazine design was actually from the ultra speed it releases the darts the same way
7:29 kinda looks like a mega cyclone shock with the hand guard
8:15 and I’m making mine from borderlands if I ever buy one XD
Finally, a descendant of the N-Strike Raven; the Sprinter
My mind went somewhere completely different when I saw "N-series."
12:21, the faux darts there are pretty odd, but otherwise the magazine looks cool.
nerf: w’re going to make a new completely proprietary dart that will definitely be adopted
Wow such comment
I think this will be like ultra
@@DatOneMudkip I think it is different, Ultra targeted for enthusiast but the dart couldn't deliver in comparison to Short Darts. N-series on the other hand is better then Elite and for new Kids it doesn't matter that much if the Darts are not compatible to older Blaster they don't have and DRM doesn't matter much for parent who buy those Blaster for their Kids. What is hard for Hasbro they have strong competitor with Dart Zone but in countries like mine where they don't exist, i see it become the new standard.
What rabit hole have I stumbled upon? I am surprised there are nerf TH-camrs but I like it
The back of his wall looks like Splatoon ammo knights with the colorful toy weaponry feel
Your muzzle awareness and trigger discipline makes my eyelids twitch.
"The Pinpoint" Is 100% a Mass Effect 1 sniper copy @8:10
honestly, as much as i'm not at all interested in these blasters or the new darts, i wish they'd developed that chain magazine earlier for elites, it would have been amazing if the rhino fire had used an elite version of that, watching the two chains revolve firing from both barrels
You should know, Hasbro. Right now your brand name is the only thing keeping Nerf alive.
Why’s that?
@@porpoiseproductions1422another ultra ripoff, 20 bucks it gets killed off quietly like hyper did?
That drum one looks a lot like a quick 16, one of my all time favourite blasters! I hope these do well, but yeah the proprietary hard to replicate darts feel like a shitty way to go.
Why is no one talking about the "NERF N Series Strikeback Blaster"? I picked one up the this morning in Smythstoys UK and its cool!
Woah, the pinpoint looks like an advent or plasma rifle from XCOM 2
safer darts are better darts, but "proprietary" is a joke. make it open, you should have to compete to make them cheap but also correct, everyone should be able to use safer designs.
I appreciate the discussion about the regulations and constraints that Hasbro has. I've always felt that hobbyist in recent years have gotten too angry that a toy company didn't make products specifically for fully grown adults. I'm interested to try some of these out. Not thrilled about buying new ammo, but I understand why they went that way.
oh good, we now have amuniction bigger than 50cal (since the new n-series is bigger than standard elite wich is 50cal, technicaly)
I loved the video, but if hasbro flies you out again could you please ask them to bring back blasters like the stryfe
Luke can you review the omnia pro?
I have these blasters and I think the Agility is the best of the bunch. I still prefer my Strongarm, but I think the Agility has the nicest compromise between price, size, and performance. I don't find the new darts all that more accurate than the Elite darts and certainly not more than DZ waffleheads.
Fair Argument. But why the DRM?
Hearing the Target Age and safety regulations, the New Dart Standard makes sense.
....but... I don't see how the DRM fits into that pretty picture...
implication of greed and market competition souring my impression
There were some "14+" boxes at 4:21. New nerf pro?!
Only nerf would make a scavenger blaster that fires proprietary darts
4:20 I spy 14+ label and what looks like maybe half darts on the box! Hopefully this means they're not gonna 1 hit wonder the halfdart world!
no vortex mention,.,, man those were fun.,,.
Best part of video was hearing how the actually design them and all the LAWS they have to follow/keep in mind when designing these TOYS. Ive already sensed a shift in attitude and less b****ing and moaning from many influencers. That was getting so old, just like hearing about them gushing over the newest way to expensive 3d printed im never going to buy and dont have a 3d printed blaster has gotten. Thank you for a really informative video. Ill probably start w the chain mag clip one for my boys.
i’m now noticing that the “elite” calaber between its reincarnations only last 12 years each… nstrike was introduced in 2000 and replaced in 2012 by elite before that to was replaced in 2024
Why does he prime the blaster and then look down the barrel multiple times? As a gun enthusiast, it is making me a little worried.
If anyone from Hasbro sees this. Can Yall work on higher capacity rival magazine and a hammer primed rival blaster?
8:10 Time to Modify that Barrel and make it a RAILGUN Model.
Neglecting vortex. Again. Not even a mention XD
Mom: we have coop772 at home!
coop772 at home:
I can already tell Coop wouldn't like most of the N Series blasters.
Interesting history of the new products, but please don't look down the barrel of the blaster multiple times without eye safety.
I gave thumbs up for quality of the video, not for potentially needless new dart.
1 Step forward with the kid proofing, 10 steps backwards with the proprietary nature.
Totally mass effect inspired
Did anyone else noticed the boxes with the "14" age on them?
this is my first time watching a video abt nerf in over five years and ngl I spent an embarrassing amount of time confused bc I was thinking of fps as frames per second 😭
The funniest thing is that N1 darts are literally better in allot of ways compared to elite darts!
Better fps (N1 is about 85 usually and elite is about 71)
I bet that 14+ blaster is the second one for nerf pro
I feel like the infinite would make a decent hvz blaster
If I go to a toy shop where I live, I will only find Nerf dart blasters, maybe X-shot dart blasters and no name ones. Ultra was never going to achieve better sales than Elite because of the cost of the blasters and of the ammo. They are trying to replace elite by making lower cost and price blasters and ammo while improving slightly the performance. The Alpha Strike was only lowering the cost. I don't have a problem with that. I want kids and parents to be able to buy an affordable, safe, fun blaster.
Vortex IS forgotten, this video IS proof.
Yeah, we missed the small bin with only two discs left in it 😅
