Slipknot has been one of my top favorite bands since they dropped the Iowa album. I can't wait to see reactions/reviews of any/all songs from that album.
I don't care what anybody says. This song is fucking sick. The instrumentals are great. The vocals are sick, the lyrics are well thought out. And the breakdown is awesome. Especially the back and forth of the lyrics and chanting. The lyrics "That's what you do best (LIE!)" Repeated at the end of the song really make the rest of the song sound even more aggressive. Also (imo) bonus points for sid's goofy dance moves at the beginning of the video, and Clowns hilarious dance moves during the breakdown
this was initially a miss on the first listen for me...felt a little simplistic in the first few bars so my brain just tuned out...then i caught all the lyrics hearing it again, and some of the more subtle complexities, and that simple pattern does work and fit. It's one of my more regularly played tracks these days 😅
Good score True BABYMETAL fan here hi David and everyone here hope everyone’s doing great and staying metal I just seen this video recently not sure when it came out not a huge slipknot fan but I do like metal I also play a little bit additionally that’s a good score song had its moments but to me it was nothing special anyways David score was good I would listen to the song again and also the video was pretty cool anyways take care thanks for reading stay metal and keep rocking
I think this was a really fair review. I love Slipknot, and this track is good. To me it's not one of their best. It's kinda mediochre, for Slipknot - which is still above a lot of other bands. There's nothing I can say is particularly bad about it. But like you said not much that massively stands out either.
Slipknot are my favourite band so I’m always going to be a little biased , however I think 8.3 is a very fair score for this one. I’d love to hear you react to the song disasterpeices from the Iowa album .

I was exited for this song when it was released, but it is not the song i usaly play when i listen to my metal playlist, its surely a great song, with a great breakdown, and a driving force, but do it stand the test of time?? well i didnt dish the song totally, but its not one i listen to that often anymore, more like one i could dig up now and then, when i put on my metal playlist, i think 8,3 is the score i would go for to.. perfect..
Harmonies for Slipknot, you may like Dead Memories, then Slipknot mixed in blues on Acidic for something different, and if you just want to jump around and mosh, People = Shit is the song for you.
I came back to say this before any Slipknot fans(I'm one of them btw)get all bent out of shape. He not saying the song sucks, he's saying that this song is what you would expect to hear if you put them on. They're not breaking new ground or anything. It's your typical Slipknot song.
