Never heard of these guys until they opened for Slash last year on his Canadian Tour....they were awesome....they open for AIC this year on their Canadian tour....can't wait to see them again
Saw these guys for the first time last night at Casino New Brunswick in Moncton, NB, Canada opening for Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Monster Truck were worth the $57 ticket all by themselves. Very impressed by them. I'll be looking for their cd next time I find myself in a music store.
saw these guys open for alexisonfire at my university basement concert... i feel extremely privileged to have been about 3 feet from each of these guys staring at them in the eyes playing their loud ass music... very privileged :)
MT is playing here this summer as part of the Saturday lineup along with Extreme, Jane's Addiction and Soundgarden at Canada's Big Music Fest. I can hardly wait.
You can almost hear some of the by's haulin' in nets, out past the landwash. In fact, you can hear this on one of the versions on google play. It reminded me of home; of course; being raised a fisherman myself in my youth.
Not that this song is on the album, but it's very nearly up there with all the stuff on Furiosity. Which is without any shadow of a doubt the finest record in living memory. :)
He sings much like Layne Stanley. Instead of going from high to low, he starts from low to high. Makes sense because grunge was about depression. This is to feel good. Human nature defines these tones of emotion.

They opened for Slash in Canada on the recent Apocalyptic Love Tour, pretty sweet gig if you ask me
