CUSTOM PAINT | Salsa Vaya | How to paint a bike with Klein-style linear fade and pearls

🇫🇷 Le propriétaire de ce vélo Salsa, une marque dont j'ignorais l'existence jusqu'alors, a eu le plus grand mal à se décider pour son projet : en grand amateur de vélos et de belles peintures, ses références étaient multiples et forcément très éloignées les unes des autres !
Il a finalement opté pour un linear fade, tels que ceux que l'on peut admirer sur les vélos Klein. La petite touche en plus, ce sont deux coloris nacrés du plus bel effet, dont les reflets proposent des nuances terriblement sexy. Le logo argenté est la cerise sur ce beau gâteau !

🇬🇧 The owner of this Salsa bike, a brand I didn't know about until I painted one, had a hard time making a decision for his project: as a bike and custom painting amateur, he had many different and varied references to choose from!
He finally opted for a linear fade, such as those you can see on some Klein bikes. The two pearl colours we added produce the extra twist the project needed to stand out, with a particularly sexy look. And a coarse silver logo as the cherry on the cake!

Can you please explain spraying purple with small airbrush, then spraying the blue with a larger gun? beautiful work, thank you.

Hi! It's not blue, it's purple too, but purple pearl. It's easier to spray pearl paint with a regular minigun than with an airbrush: the nozzle is too thin and the pearl particles might clog in the nozzle. Using a bigger gun prevents that.
