For bad luck protection at research stations, turn a turret you like into a blueprint 1st. Make as many as you like to roll at a research station then again turn a good one into a blueprint.
I'm thinking of building my first Turret Factory. Is there really any advantage to having ownership of one? Perhaps I should focus on building up factories to make the parts to build turrets instead. I am fairly new to the game and only have 3 noble mines but I have made it to the center wall. Does it matter if I make the Turret factory in an iron area vs xanium area? The tech level stuff confuses me a bit. I am torn between 4 turrets: Railgun for base destruction Launchers with homing to make hitting targets easier and just having a massive amount of them Triple chain guns also in massive numbers so no cool down for a kind of zerg efffect Lightning turret for range and shield busting. I love the idea of a carrier with 120 seeker launchers while using rail guns to hit hard from a distance. Still it might be fun to build a ship with all triple chainguns and just watch the never ending bullets fly. When building escort ship to attack with me do they run certain weapons better? I would thinking the homing launchers would help them hit more often and stay a bit back.
So few days ago I tried putting a second Turret Fac in my 1.1. sector and it had exactly the same blueprints as the first one. How much have the mechanics changed? After packing and jumping to nearby sector it got a different batch of BPs. Is it now sector-based? Also the best crafted turrets after plopping like 10 factories were 1,15k dps rails, 1,5k launchers and ~4k teslas. Is it just bad RNG, or can't you just go higher on crafted these days?
@@Herderus. I have they best luck with research weapons, blueprinting them. Its alot of work but seem to be paying off better than the turret factories.
when you mention block penetration does that mean that you damage the ship multiple times, so like at 25:53 the damage is 39528 times 12 block penetration =474,336 total damage?
No, it's actually divided by the amount of blocks penetrated. So a 15k damage railgun with 3 blocks penetration will deal 5k to a single block, or 15k total if it penetrates 3 blocks
starting a new play through here after a while away from game......what I would like to know is the new 5/6 slot guns coaxial ? I have two turret merchants in center selling some insane rail guns with almost 30 distance on them and has option to add targeting obviously.... but at 47 million dollars a piece and I think 53 or 63 million dollar a piece on other merchant I don't want to experiment lol. I mean on a fighter rails doesn't matter much they pretty much work great shooting straight anyways,,, but on a larger ship that cannot move I will cry.... so can they be made to auto shoot or will that just reduce damage and still be stuck forward? also since they take up 5/6 slot...… is it possible that there are 2/3 slot weapons that might out damage these larger guns because a ship could stuff tons on them?
ahh good to know figured as much but you never know in avorion lol. well then looks like im back on the hunt for low slot count high damage long distance rails then... I left that game and started an insanity galaxy game... as I forgot how easy vanilla game is lol. and now I forgot how hard insanity is lol....
Hello good sir, I do have a question as I can't find an answer for now. What do you do if you made your own turret factory but it's not blessed with anything good. Is there a way to reroll the turrets it can make? EDIT: Nevermind you actually answered the question in your video later on :)
Hi not sure if u know how to back up ur save game? app data galaxies then look for ur name of galaxy u named and copy it... 5 times, now login to each one, place ur station and see if u got something worth keeping, if not move on to the next save, rinse and repeat.
At this stage is there much of a point? You basically beat the game. Are you going through all this trouble just to see what you can get? To put the smack down even easier on everyone else? Is it pvp?
Not really, the game is done with this kinda of weapons. Yes, there is s pvp. They have a created a different mode that is harder, the weapons do not get as powerful. This is Classic.
@shrikegaming9765 true it has changed a lot. Good point, at harder difficulty you might stronger weapons. I'm almost across for first time! Had this game forever my second play through 340hrs! First time stopped cuase creating own ship was a nightmare. The workshop had just started and didn't know how to use it to get ships lol. Anyway, is there a boss across there to be rdy for? Or can I stop worrying and be satisfied I'm finished once I get to ( 0,0 )
6:50 yeah no wonder that the second turret factory you looked at, produced better results, when you used Exceptional quality instead of Common as the first one you looked at......... Sorry, but a lot of placebo going on here in your "tests" :)

I am torn between 4 turrets:

The closer to the center the higher the tech level. so i always build at the center for turret factories.

i think they are dumbing down the factories. they dont seem to be rolling the high damage turrets like they once did.
Dang, so whats the best way to get the big guns now? Getting lucky with drops and blueprinting it?

They will still be stuck forward. The coaxial only fire forward. I usually only carry a few for stations or the center Guardian.

Are you using a mod to see extra stats?
No, I dont use mods, you have to turn this on in your menu.
I'm in a xanion map zone and i can only build trinium turrets with 480 damage wtf?
