Thanks for this review. I have a Damien I picked up new a long time ago with the FR, but it has the passive EMGHZs which I find rather dull. If you have any suggestions on directions to take upgrading to active pickups, I'd be grateful. I don't have any experience with active pickups. I like playing anything from Iron Maiden to Rush to Alice in Chains.
Mine was super badass it had EMG active pickups and a Floyd Rose 1000. It was a thousand dollar guitar that I bought from a guy for two hundred dollars had the bat inlays and black chrome hardware but mine didn't have a binding around the body just satiin black and that thing was totally amazing. Someone stole it from me wish I still had it. Mine was a 2008 model it was a beast I couldn't believe that I got one for two hundred dollars I guess the guy just really needed some money really bad. I'll never forget how good it was.
That Dracula lead was good enough to be the opening of a death metal album. It reminds me of Possessed paying tribute to the Exorcist at the start of Seven Churches. It's really that good.
I have the same guitar, no Sustainiac. But my Hellraiser has one, so I am good! I have been playing around with the two hand pedaling technique you used. I have never seen that before bro! It is a really useful trick. I bought mine because I love horror movies too. I love everything from the Hammer films that you were showing, to modern horror like Hereditary. So this guitar definitely suits me. Good review, man.
I was looking into the Damien 6 / 6 FR and I don’t know jack about all of the extra tuning of the bridge for the Floyd Rose. Is it that much of an extra effort?
Sorry for replying so late lol , but you mean tuning a guitar with a Floyd rose? Is more of an effort? If it’s your first guitar with a Floyd rose, yes it’s ganna be a pain in the ass but if you mean like getting it in tune or intonate it’s ganna a be a trip lol I’d say get it butttt just don’t expect to enjoy it for a few weeks because it’ll take time to get use to and get your self adjusted to it.
I really liked mine, but the only issue I have is that the trem always snaps my d string. Idk if it's just something wrong with my Floyd rose or what, but other than that I love it

Korean guitars are my favorite at least the ones from 1991 till now because before back then they cheaped out and used plywood on most guitars. So I’m sure you have an amazing guitar right now! And I’m working on making a full album on all my demos People seem to really enjoy them so I’m trying to see if I can get an album kinda things happening
