There are so many times I've turned up to a venue super early, and have been near the front - only to find myself being pushed behind by a group of 6ft guys. It's so frustrating! The only venues where I've not had this issue are really small/intimate ones.

Self-titled albums are also nice for removing the ambiguity between band name and album name. So if it's your first record people don't get them mixed up from looking at the cover.

I knew an employee at genius, they don’t want any outside suggestions or help with what they are doing. They think that what they’re doing is cutting edge and what the people want but more than half of them don’t know music...at all...straight up. The verified series is for views and it’s always been this way. When rap genius started, it was way more accessible and easy to understand what the point of genius is and now we’re guessing what it is. They need better management and better people who actually care more about music than internet clout.

when you self title a debut album, it's hard to say "this is me" because most debut albums are bands/artists trying to figure out their sound, unless you're weezer or sum shit
Its so satisfying seeing "no views" on your screen lol the genius verified series is cool though, expecially when the artist has a great personality or lyrics. Although other times, it is a bit awkward but then I just can figure what artists to avoid after 1 or 2 interviews.
