@@ibic2441 WAIT WHAT? CHEESUS THAT'S A LOT. YOU ARE A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL THAN ME! Sometimeswe have to do forty lengths which is 1000 meters 1km sometimes two km, and if we misbihave three km. Sometimes of whatever stroke but usually not because we always do breastroke when we can choose the stroke. Your warmup is our whole practice but we dont be so aggressive with the fly we do like six fiftys all out fast and then get a one minute break then ten more times.
Also there is: When you break your finger doing backstroke Water getting into your goggles Your goggles fogging up even if the company says it won't You enjoy competitive swimming more than just hanging out by the pool so when you are chilling out at the pool with friends you start doing dives, strokes, flip turns and races so your friends think your trying to show off by really you just enjoy it more Feeling like you swallowed the whole pool after practice Not only inconvenient times for practices but also you have to have like at least 4 practices a week if you really want to take it seriously and improve and be good at it It takes time to find a really good coach
I’m a breaststroke swimmer, and someone streamlined right into my open legs and it was so weird. Also, let alone breaking my fingers and swimming backstroke, I freaking drown
for some weird reason i once jumped in the pool and my googels fell everyone went *GASP* and i just came out with no red teary eyes and a straight face like wassuuppp mothafuckaaa imma legend
IKR! I'll be like, "Can I go first?" But they're like "No I wanna go first." Then I end up at their feet getting spashed by their kick and when I try to go in front of them THEN they decide to speed up slashing gallons of water in my face in the process.
When you dive in to the pool and your googles fall off from the pressure since your goggles aren’t tied too hard and you have to do a 50 lap, and worse of all if it’s timed ( for those who dont understand, you can’t just stop in the middle of the lap and put them back on and keep on going, if u wanna get good timing you have to keep going)
Im a swimmer and water is like my sanctuary. It makes me feel like i am one with earth. And water is just so relaxing to me. Everyone says they hate swimming but i personally love it.
This happened more than once... when I dive off the blocks and I didn’t put my goggles on properly they fell to around my neck and I had to swim a 500 free with no goggles... my eyeballs turned so red that I had to go to the medic and rinse them with clean water. hehe fun times
When you tell people you swim and the conversation goes like this- Person your telling- "OHH!! I swim too!" You- "cool! Are you going to the meet this weekend?" Person- "no, I don't really do meets. I swim for fun" You- 😑
As a swimmer and a lifeguard... I never got at the competitive swimmers for hangin' on the lanes... It was a mutual understanding. :) And I loved hanging on them.
Zm_11 _jr it’s more of your bff when u swim because u burn off carbs really easily making u more hungry so when u get to eat.... it’s the best thing ever
When ur cap feels like it's gonna fall off and u need to tug it 24/7 When u dive into the water and ur goggles fall off When ur tried af when swimming in the water
When you dive into the water and your goggles somehow fill with water but don't fall off When you choke on like a gallon when taking a breath When you feel the water seeping into your hair
When you do a belly flat and somehow your nose starts bleeding and you gotta tilt your head so the blood doesn't get in contact with the water or when you need the bathroom and gotta hold it in (cause teacher is teaching) then you go to the bathroom struggling to use it cause of your swim suit
Story time: I remember me complaining about my school swim team (having to get up at 4 in the morning, painful strains, not having enough time to get ready for school, etc), and my friend says “Dude, it’s swim. You get up and you get in the pool. How is that so hard?” Like shut up. How about you try swimming an overall distance of 2 miles every morning?
when your goggles accidentally leak in water but you gotta suffer till your lap is done
Omg so true... It's feels like wearing a gas mask that leaks with gas....
Oh my gosh it's hell
me literally every time I dive during meets .-.
Yes!!! I had to do the 200 im at champs with my goggles both filled up completely😅
I can only fix it on Freestyle, that's what my team says
The worst is when you choke on the water that accidentally swallowed and can’t stop coughing
Then you stop and the trainer starts to yell on you
Omg I absolutely agree with that and I hate ittt
When you hit the lane lines while doing butterfly is horrible.
No joke, one time I swallowed so much water I could taste the chlorine in the back of my throat for days

When the water is REALLY cold and you have to jump in it
Szonja Püsök that's like almost every time at where I'm swimming
Or when it’s warm when you get in but it feels like a hot tub while swimming!
Forgot about sweating chlorine. Burning and itching the moment you get warm.
Omg yes.
oh my god tht is a thing? This is terrifying
I've never experienced that before.
IKR it's the worst
Omg the itching yessss hahaha
When you try to overtake another person but he/she starts kicking and go fast af
That's really annoying
Don't forget the weird tan lines like having a circle on you back
I'm wearing this dress for some fancy thing, and u can see my tan lines so clearly
Same mine are going to be so good this summer.
unless you swim in an indoor place
Don't forget multiple bathing suit tan lines basically a fading circle. Or no rest between events at meets
You forgot the period at the end of your sentence. Also, there should be an comma between the words "wrong" and "which". You're welcome.
One word,
Butterfly.
Ugghhhhhh
Totally
No never butterfly is deadly
+Sophia Locascio I know I can only do it for 25 metres properly or 50 with find
+Cara Matthews fins*
When you wear glasses and you just basically have to be blind
I know the struggle ugh
There must be glasses that double as goggles SOMEWHERE
Wherever they are, I need them
+ѕαвírdíє yeah, theyre called prescription goggles, you can find them online
munchie I heard they're expensive though
+ѕαвírdíє I got my prescription goggles for like 25$
Huh, I'll look into it.
Me: competetive swimmer.
Coaches: Aright people six fiftys of
all out fast butterfly!
Me: Chokes on water that whole time.
Feel ya, this is an average practice for us:
Warmup
500 free
200 back
200 breast
200 fly
Pre main set
Hypoxic breathing 1 3 5 7 9 11 red zone
200 free w kickboard
200 free w pool bouy
Main set
Ladder drill free
Sprints
500 fly (other words thrashibg and drowning for 30 mins straight)
Repeat 10x
You get the point
@@ibic2441 WAIT WHAT? CHEESUS THAT'S A LOT. YOU ARE A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL THAN ME! Sometimeswe have to do forty lengths which is 1000 meters 1km sometimes two km, and if we misbihave three km. Sometimes of whatever stroke but usually not because we always do breastroke when we can choose the stroke. Your warmup is our whole practice but we dont be so aggressive with the fly we do like six fiftys all out fast and then get a one minute break then ten more times.
@@S.N.E-1 ever have to do 1650s as a Warmup
@@S.N.E-1 u go to meets right, what was ur main event
@@ibic2441 yes i go to meets. Whattya mean what's my main event?
Also there is:
When you break your finger doing backstroke
Water getting into your goggles
Your goggles fogging up even if the company says it won't
You enjoy competitive swimming more than just hanging out by the pool so when you are chilling out at the pool with friends you start doing dives, strokes, flip turns and races so your friends think your trying to show off by really you just enjoy it more
Feeling like you swallowed the whole pool after practice
Not only inconvenient times for practices but also you have to have like at least 4 practices a week if you really want to take it seriously and improve and be good at it
It takes time to find a really good coach
Tala Ismail how did u break ur finger doing backstroke 😧 sorry to ask lol but ive never seen it happen on any of my teams
Tala Ismail my name is Tala too😂
Sapph I think its when you don't know ur at the wall and you hit your fingers against it
I’m a breaststroke swimmer, and someone streamlined right into my open legs and it was so weird. Also, let alone breaking my fingers and swimming backstroke, I freaking drown
Also whEN THE BEST COACH LEAVES YOU FOREVER
Yesss all these are so true...but you forgot when you drink like 10 gallons of pool water a day
omg so true xddd
yeah thay actually forgot it😂😂😂
You also forget the horrific cap-tan received during tournaments.
Anita Ochoa and when you hit hands in butterfly
Anita Ochoa not true
what am I doing here I can't swim
Sandra Southhal same lol
Sandra Southhal saaammmeeeee
Sandra Southhal Then learn to swim
Dat Wolf doe no
whuuut xD
in my country it is mandatory for kids to learn how to swim in school, even though we do not live near an ocean
When you flip turn and you miscalculated and you miss the wall, that feeling inside you is indescribable and if its in a meet, its over for you...
When there is water in your goggles.
ShelbyTheOwl Pizza Or when your goggles suddenly come off while diving and your eyes get flooded. Hurts sooo bad :(
for some weird reason i once jumped in the pool and my googels fell everyone went *GASP* and i just came out with no red teary eyes and a straight face like wassuuppp mothafuckaaa imma legend
When the ppl in front of you are slow so you have to wait
OMG thank you for 83 likes
CC west YEP
omg tbh that's always true.
IKR! I'll be like, "Can I go first?" But they're like "No I wanna go first." Then I end up at their feet getting spashed by their kick and when I try to go in front of them THEN they decide to speed up slashing gallons of water in my face in the process.
CC west ikr! N when you try to overtake you find out the other person leaves no gap or u get scared u kick them n get a complain lol.
omg that's so true lol even though I'm the youngest in my swimming class
hitting your head while doing backstroke...
Yes omg
or just having ur hands get tangled up in the lanes
Yesssssss
head? umm no. hands, maybe, not head.
Yesss.
When you dive in to the pool and your googles fall off from the pressure since your goggles aren’t tied too hard and you have to do a 50 lap, and worse of all if it’s timed
( for those who dont understand, you can’t just stop in the middle of the lap and put them back on and keep on going, if u wanna get good timing you have to keep going)
When you are swimming a 500 and your goggles fall off at the dive
I'm a swimmer this happen all the time and the forgot the water really cold
AAAAAAARGH
I've done it with a 50 I couldn't imagine a 500
Mine fell off when I was swimming the mile... that was hell.
+Peyton Ellis same
Or when the cap its so little and it draws on ur forhead
"Your bed is heaven" "Food is your BFF".
Ye, ONLY swimmers can relate to that, right? -_-
food is so vital after a practice tho like
Thats sport. welcome.
All athletes relate to those
ikr? wth
Bye angry swimmers
Everyone: When your goggles get detached and water gets in your eyes
Me: Welcome to synchronized swimming
I used to swim and I can say all of these are so relatable xDD
Abbie Sushii yup
Abbie Sushii I'm not even a swimmer but I can relate
Abbie Sushii same
Abbie Sushii same
SAAAAME BOI same
WHEN YOU HIT YOUR ARMS WHILE SWIMMING BUTTERFLY
Georgia ツ OMG IKR
WHY IS THIS NOT TOP COMMENT
When you hit the line during a turn!
Non Swimmer: I could do a 200 fly
*them still trying to figure out how to step one the block
Ask anybody, they are up to the challenge. Hehehehe
Lol even competitive swimmers regret the 2 fly I rather do a 5 or a mile than do a 2 fly
200 fly is my best event and it's still harder than some other events
I hate 200 fly...
Oh god that’s my worst enemy-
Im a swimmer and water is like my sanctuary. It makes me feel like i am one with earth. And water is just so relaxing to me. Everyone says they hate swimming but i personally love it.
I hate when I miss the backstroke flip turn
I SWEAR
Potato Mind yay
Melody Le ya same
I was trying out for I really good swim club and my count was off and I missed the wall😪😣
U r so right
-When you hit your ankle on the lane rope
-When you swerve completely
-When your legs are super ashy after practice
-When you belly flop a dive
Especially when you swerve to the entire other side of the lane when your swimming backstroke, your coach stares at you, and someone bumps into you
The bellyflop dive thing hit he hard.
I can’t dive, so everyone on my team says
“Just learn”
It’s so annoying because it always hurts.
When you feel heavy after the pool man
Belly flopping a dive is hell..
You forgot smelling like chlorine EVEN THOUGH you showered
Kawaii Cupcakes omg trueeeeeeee
and damaged hair, no matter what you do 😢
Kawaii Cupcakes SO TRUE
Anasvet28 actually, my hair hasn’t been damaged yet, even after two years of swimming
Anasvet28 just shampoo and conditioner everyday it works for me.
When you're doing the backstroke and hit the wall head first on accident.
This wouldn’t happen to my head but it would happen to my hands, and the other side is just straight fricking rock. I have so many bruises 😂😂
When water gets in your nose when doing a flip, and it hurts for a bit 😑
Ji미학 yep i know that im e swimer
Agree
Yep I know that feeling
Ji미학 true
Why this needs to happen?
Jimihun?
When someone takes up both lanes bc they have windmill arms
*my main two struggles*
*1-after swimming your hair is ruined*
*2-coldddd water!*
Yessss crunchy hair the worst, also you cant do anything about it except shower and put in tons of conditioner lol
Do you not swim in an indoor pool the pool water where I live is normally 84F
When the water is cold, just jump in. Even with a swim cap, stay under from 2-10 seconds. It is almost instant relief
3- Cold water becomes warm water and after swimming I don’t want to leave the pool because it’s cold outside XDD
For me tho after I do like a 100 the water gets warmer
This happened more than once... when I dive off the blocks and I didn’t put my goggles on properly they fell to around my neck and I had to swim a 500 free with no goggles... my eyeballs turned so red that I had to go to the medic and rinse them with clean water. hehe fun times
It would have been funny if u beat ur time
@@rosemaryshane8451 When I was 10 the same happened to me in 100 free and I beat my time by 4 seconds
@@blueleafy7167 nice 4 seconds is a lot 🥳🥳
@@tianamarsden6350 where ya from mate
It’s true, literally beating your score by 2 seconds is one of the most amazing feeling in the world-

J-Hope's Cap in Not Today MV that is true
But are hell when you wake up
When someone says, what purfum do you were? Oh I were chlorine, I get it at the pool.😂💯
The Synchro Swimmer perfume* wear*
Yo.. i take your grammar as a joke..
This is not really funny, but the grammar is amusing
Amanda Hudson perfume* wear*
Sooo, we not gonna tell them to use auto correct..?
When you tell people you swim and the conversation goes like this-
Person your telling- "OHH!! I swim too!"
You- "cool! Are you going to the meet this weekend?"
Person- "no, I don't really do meets. I swim for fun"
You- 😑
Exactly!!! Like omg
IKR so relatable
Omg ikr like everyone can swim but it doesn't mean they're 'a swimmer'
All my friends say they "swim"
SERIOUSLY ugh
*When you don't know if you have another 50 to go or you've furnished in a 200m race*
As a swimmer and a lifeguard... I never got at the competitive swimmers for hangin' on the lanes... It was a mutual understanding. :) And I loved hanging on them.
I think you're the only beautiful person in the world who allows it lol
***** Hahaha, yeah probably.
Unless you have to set them up and take them down before and after practice
Taylor Show That was always a given.... every day chore. No problem.
Jesse Turner but those lane lines are insanely expensive. That's why your not supposed to hang on them.
Isn't food everyones bff?
Zm_11 _jr yes food is everyone’s best friend but swimmer tend to eat... well a whole lot more than the average person
Margaret Meulemans well i'm an athlete I do a lot of sports (including swimming) and food is my *everything*
Zm_11 _jr it’s more of your bff when u swim because u burn off carbs really easily making u more hungry so when u get to eat.... it’s the best thing ever
Angel Worthy ikr? You cam eat whatever you want... And never get fat😂
Zm_11 _jr well , yep
When ur cap feels like it's gonna fall off and u need to tug it 24/7
When u dive into the water and ur goggles fall off
When ur tried af when swimming in the water
XxKatrinaxx 123 All me there 😂
XxKatrinaxx 123 I know that's why I stoped 😂
When you dive into the water and your goggles somehow fill with water but don't fall off
When you choke on like a gallon when taking a breath
When you feel the water seeping into your hair
When you do a belly flat and somehow your nose starts bleeding and you gotta tilt your head so the blood doesn't get in contact with the water or when you need the bathroom and gotta hold it in (cause teacher is teaching) then you go to the bathroom struggling to use it cause of your swim suit
XxKatrinaxx 123 yes!!
Your hair are never "soft silky and smooth"
Subha Chugh I know!!!
Subha Chugh true
THEY SAY STAY ON YOUR LANE BOY, LANE BOY BUT WE GO WHERE WE WANT TO.

when you are in a swim meet and while swimming your googles fall down..😶🔫
and when theres water in it

YES!! I hate when that happens! Especially when you don't have time to fix it and you can't see anything!
aspyn smith ikr
I just close my eyes and hope I don't hit anything or anyone
*when your swim teacher exhausts you and your halfway in the pool drowning but you can’t stop because she will call you out infront if everyone*
So fricking relatable
Missing the wall is the worst
Ya I know right and I do it all the time
Ikr
Ikr
Yep...I've been doing swimming for 7 years and that is so true
the feeling of putting all your energy into your kick just for you only to hit water and have to swim fast to build momentum kills me
Trying to still look like a girl while wearing a swimming cap and goggles
I've tried it before
It ain't happening
Sollertia IKRRRR
Sollertia you can tell because of the swimsuit/skins
ME
KeKe.Raeann SAME
Sollertia and a kneeskin when you have a jacket over it
things swimmers never say "oh yeah, I love swimming"
that's before you join swim
Lmao
+Quan Hoang true😂
Not
True us swimmers do not
I love swimming though...
When the set is longer than a Charles Dickens novel and your coach expects you to know it by heart.
i'm supposed to be packing for a trip. why am i here? i can't swim.
okay same (about packing and swimming lol)
+sam gubler Exact same situation here.
omg im in the same situation, I have to pack for a road trip tomorrow ughh

It's a party of people who have somewhere to be but are watching a video that is none of their concern!
When your goggles come off when you dive 😭😫
Soph4eva 11 been there
Omg I hate thattt
When you do backstroke and you get water in your mouth/nose, argh
Missing the wall during a lap is 10x worse than imagining that one extra step on stairs which doesn't exist
