This was the most useful video I've watched in a while. You did an amazing job at explaining a really nuanced and complex topic in a really clear way. Thank you.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! for the comprehensive overview!! I have been in the hobby for over two years, struggling with algae control. I have read and watched most everything I could get my hands on (especially T. Barr and D. Wong)! My core setup consists of an ADA 120P, Eheim 2080, Co2Art elite and Twinstar 1200SA. I have always had to reduce lighting to around 50%, thus reducing my PAR at the substrate to around 80 for algae control, never understanding why I couldn't succeed with high lighting like some pros. Co2 PH drop 1.2, tried low nutrients, EI and all ranges in between, 30% RO/DI water changes 2x a week. Seemingly tried it all with consistency. I always felt that using Excel was somehow cheating and that people with those beautiful tanks just have it figured out and maybe I'm incapable of creating this "pristine scapetopia". THEN the awakening moment!!! READY??? dosing excel everyday! I thought, Really??? What have I got to lose? After viewing this video I immediately started making a batch of RO/DI water. The next morning I did a 50% water change along with usual maintenance, lights to 100% power, (hey, I'm gonna see how this goes, I prefer the bright colors and separation you only get with high lights). Dosed 30ml of excel (60Gal water), re-mineralized added K and traces. Two days later I repeated and again after 4 days. Daily dosing recommended amounts of Excel on non-water change days. The filmaentous and green dust are almost completely gone! My scape is pearling so hard it look like it is raining upside-down!
After watching all of GA videos especially this one, I feel like I can get a Bachelor in Beautiful Aquascaping (BBA) from the University of TH-cam. Thank you Professor Balasz!!!
I kept having problems with BBA, kept all my nutrients perfectly levelled with auto dosing. Tried tons of nuanced differences in my dosing amounts (was mixing my own macros and micros etc.) And never got it to go away even with dosing a ton of gluteraldehyde (excel) and blasting the tank with h2o2 occasionally. Turns out my co2 system wasn't working properly and it was fluctuating constanyly.. 2 years of trying to get rid of it, it was faulty equipment. Moral of the story i 100% agree with balazs, keep it simple and stop overcomplicating things. I have an engineering degree in biochemistry and work in wastewater, and my aquarium beat my ass. Really good video green aqua!!
Yeah, so glad you second my thoughts! It's always something we DON'T think of, right? Haha. Glad you sorted it out. We do have BBA quite often too, and always use Clithon corona snails in big numbers. They eat it! But they lay eggs. :)
Balazs, I do honestly love your vids man. They are so helpful, self-explaining, and very high quality. Thank you for putting your time into this. The information was very good & I did absorb a lot from it. The best thing was how you were not partial to any of the product while you are ofc in a business. Thank you very much, watched the whole thing in one go!!!
;) Tried my best, glad you appreciate my effort! Thanks for the kind feedback, glad you liked this in-depth analysis and glad you watched it through... Cheers.
I don't even feel bored. I even repeated certain parts of this video several times. thank you Green Aqua for sharing knowledge, knowledge is expensive.
I've discovered this channel during the lockdown period and i gotta say, i learnt so much in aquascaping. Now i'm excited to get my tank stocked! Thanks for sharing your knowledge to the millions and more fans who will benefit from all your videos. Thank you everyone in Green Aqua! Love you guys! Love from Malaysia, stay safe everyone!
I can't believe I just watched and enjoyed an almost 40min video on plant fertiliser 😂 I have only been in the hobby for 3 months but you made it so easy to follow along and you explain things very well. Fantastic job!
that's the beauty of this hobby, the science and the challenge of balancing your ecosystem. Personally, this is the reason why I love setting up tanks... Then when all is balance, the beauty of it is so breathtaking that I find myself staring at my tank for hours at a time.
Question: at 11:30 while listing the micronutrients you say "Mg - Manganese" Mg is Magnesium while Mn is Manganese. Which one did you mean? Which is included in the micronutrients?
please don't worry of it being too complicated.. it's not! just give your advices the best you can and if it's over somebody's head then they can go to another TH-cam and learn the basics. I'm here for your expertise not a beginner lesson or to be talked down too that we are too simple to understand fertilization... sorry to complain but otherwise I love all your films.. especially Dave Chow workshop!!
"This is not a video for beginners." Watches it anyway. A great video and I understood everything perfectly. Definitely a well constructed video and excellently detailed without being overally complicated. I know a great deal more than I did 38 minutes and 18 seconds ago. Hugely appreciated it.
For instance, you took the road of having a rich fert tank and changed your mind towards lean fert. How would you re-introduce/re-adjust your tank to that kind of situation?
Haha, that would have been funny. I should have done that, but I would have had to get up afterwards to wash my hands and my foot is broken, so it's a mess walking around with crotches. Haha.
Thank god this movie was made. Only now I realized how important it is to dose each element individually for each aquarium. You are doing an amazing job so that every hobby aquascaper can enjoy running their dream tank. Thank you very much.
I swear the first time I watched this I was completely lost. But 5 months later I watch this for the second time, I understand everything. This is pure gold. This guy is an expert and this is a very concise video full of great advices.
Having been in the hobby for almost two decades, all posted in the video is the truth.. very well explained.. when I have people asking about planted tanks I will send them this video. Just watch it time and time again.. and take notes.. it is a perfect video.
Very nice and comprehensive Tutorial / Guide and you're totally right, it is a complicated topic and you surely can tackle that from various different angles. One addition, though: Manganese isn't a micro, it's a macro Nutrient regarding its levels in the water and in a planted tank in general. Levels of 3-5mg/l are fairly common even in non-aquascapes and therefor way higher then the highest micro nutrient, which is correctly iron.
I'm not gonna go into this now Toby. :) But Mn is always added together with the Micro elements - even in the EI, in very small quantities. :) The presence in some waters it another thing.
What a fantastic video. Of course we all love the scape videos and Q&A's but this is a video that provides such detail for what we should all consider a fundamental element in planted tanks in general. This will help a countless amount of people including myself.
Really glad you liked it, I sacrificed a few viewers just to be able to deliver this kid of in-depth content to you guys. I'm sure many will take time to watch it through to find valuable info in it. Cheers, thanks for the support and the feedback!
Great video. As someone fresh back into aquariums and newer to aquascaping, information and PATIENCE is key. I bought master test kits, not to just test the water, but to make sure I could recognize the changes as the readings changed. Now the kits sit until I start another tank. (Uh oh) A fertiliser schedule is key. I found that under-dosing on a daily or semi-daily basis was of great benefit, because my tanks (betta and threadfin rainbows) run at 26.3 degrees celsius and the temperature didn't mesh well with skipping days with ferts. I asked the great Balázs about moss and even that led me to knowledge. Higher temps meant deeper greens in my moss. I originally thought it was a phosphate deficiency, but there were no other signs. I use excel everyday - well under dosed - to keep algae away which increases supply for my plant uptake. I don't actually think the carbon from excel boosts growth in my tanks, but the algae prevention means more nutrients for them. It is all fascinating, and the only way to understand is to do it and check in with your findings!
I’m a beginner. You didn’t lose me in 15mins because I took a hour break and came back for the rest of the video. Lol 😂 But it was very informative. 👍🏻
Hello Balazs!!! Im from Brazil, not even a beginner yet, im only doing research to start it as much right as possible and not, you not lose me, I really had watched it all and have to thank you for all that I’ve Learned!!
Hallo, best Video for beginners I have ever seen.I am in this beautiful hobby for more than 40 years. The first 10 years I had not much success because of less experience. But since the late 80s with upcoming of better light ( HQL back then ) and CO2-systems it became very better.Yes, you're right when saying always to observe the tank.I am still in love with dutch - style tanks, maybe it's because I grew up with that, but I am always fascinated by looking into a Amano - style tank. Btw. Your English is better to understand for me than that by very fast speaking native English/Americans 😁. Greetings from Germany Bernhard and Sabine
@@GreenAquaShop Hello again. Please let me ask one question : I'm very satisfied with my tank. All my plants doing fine, even HCC and Ludwigia Rubin for example.N is ~ 20, P~ 1, Potassium ~15, Magnesium ~15, FE ~ 0,15 , CO2 ~ 30. Light : LED, ~ 45 Lumen/ L. But the wonderful plant Pogostemon Helferi always starts to suffer after some weeks doing fine.Looking pale, some leafs melting. What is the need of this plant?Have you experience , did you keep her in good condition? I've been searching for this question for a long while, but till today never found an satisfying answer. If you can help me, please let me know. Thank you. Bernhard and Sabine
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 bravo!!!! Brilliant. I have seen the majority of your videos and love the fact that you tell it how it is and absolutely no BULLSHIT! Been a keen aquarist for 25 years and aquascaping for a year now and I failed quite a few times but your videos are the BEST!! Clearly understand them unlike others...well done 👍🏾🇬🇧🇬🇧 I have purchased a 560l but i am currently still learning a lot with my other 3 tanks and when I think I'm ready I will pursue my goal of having a near perfect tank...........fingers crossed ...
Hi, Here's a scared but motivated beginner. I really appreciate each of the greenaqua videos. Thanks for everything!! Be safe! Greetings from Costa Rica!
All those studies in medical school has done me good. I was worried since you said that newbies probably wouldn't understand this, but in human bodies, we also talk about macronutrients and micronutrients in biochemistry! I'm glad I kept watching. Good things you teach here.
I believe this is the most import aquascaping video I ever watch and learned, yes I’m a beginner and much mistakes I ever made before, same achievements I have acquired. This just pop my eyes wide open, thanks a million I’m looking forward to make the best of me in the Aquascaping world.
Finally, thank you! First, it is very brave of you to go into fertilization topic as you know how it is these days on social media everybody knows everything better than others :D But, seriously it is unbelievable what is going on. One group using lean is basically saying that is the only right way all others are stupid. Then second group using rich fertilization is saying the same. Then, the third using salts making their own fertilizers saying people using branded ferts are stupid. As, I already said very brave of you. I am using on one tank rich fertilization, my version of EI with very low nitrates dosing as my tap water is quite high in nitrates. Tank is doing great, no algae and very nice plants. On other tank with different needs I am using all in one fertilizer but lean fertilization and adding some potassium and phosphate from time to time if it is needed. It was always amusing for me watching people saying only one way is right way. Also it is very good you explained disadvantages of lean fertilization over the time and need for adding some additional nutrients from time to time as that is what I experienced, usually phosphates and potassium and iron are needed at least from my experience. Each aquarium is different, nobody has same plants and same tap water so you need to learn how your aquarium is breathing and act accordingly. And in the end if it works for your aquarium it is right way doesn't matter what everybody else is saying.
Yepp, you sure know what you're doing and you are right in the fact that there's no one true solution, and there's always a big fight between believers. What we try to do is to unite people here. So far I only got one comment from somebody who said he is a self proclaimed expert and felt offended. Then gave a link to his website. Haha. Anyway, cheers. :)
Nice tutorial. Before shifting to Seachem product line (N, P, K, IRON, TRACE, EXCEL), I had used so called "ONE PRESS" fert for two years. It worked in low tech tank (dim light without CO2) but not in high tech tank (Strong light with lots CO2). Now I just follow the dosing chart provided by Seachem with some adjustments, and the result comes very well. I think the challenge of fertilizing without algae boom is to find the harmony or balance between light, CO2 and temperature, especially if you live in tropic area like me.
Your tutorials are so easy to understand and full of essential information. I am thinking of getting into aquascaping in a few months so the tutorials are just fascinating.
Finally a video that talks about fertilization in detail! Great work! Keep making videos of this quality. The great thing about GreenAqua is that it offers videos for different levels of followers.
Thanks for the kind feedback, yeah, we try to do things on different levels, I guess I'm quickly getting bored of doing the same thing all the time. Haha.
How r u supposed to explain it better? I think it has being the very first time i have understand a macro idea of ferts. You always make things easy for us! Apreciated!
I'm a beginner in aquascaping and am about to start my first tank and I didn't think this video confused me but instead cleared up some points that I had questions about. Thanks for this excellent video.
Thank you. I am a novice aquarist and this was very helpful. I was using Flourish thinking that's all I needed but my plants still seemed to be suffering. I didn't appreciate, until your video, that Flourish alone lacks the macro elements. Your channel has been one of the best resources in my exploration of the hobby so thank you very much. I have a 20l tank and this has been an awesome experience.
Dude... thank you for saying what we need to know in the beginning of the video. Unlike 10000 other channels on this website. With that said, i'd sit through this 38min 18sec video even if Im a beginner :)
@@GreenAquaShop so are you my friend! Can't wait till these restrictions are released so I can bring my wife and kids to your shop all the way from sweden! =) Have a great day!
Watching my first Green Aqua video about a month ago really piqued my interest in getting an "aquarium". Little did I know how much the topic would hold my interest. It finally lead me to doing more extensive research from books, websites, other aqua scaping TH-cam channels and of course the extensive video library at Green Aqua. Without this important knowledge I would never had realized how interesting and fun this hobby can be. I don't think I would have made the decision to invest in the equipment and supplies necessary to go through with entering the world of aqua scaping. I've been on a shopping spree in the past week. I have the filter, the CO2 system, lots more stuff on the way and the aquarium with a stand arrives later this week. I'm not posting this to brag I'm just asking for your prayers. Wish me luck!
I have had a high tech tank for over a year. I watched your videos for hours before installing the tank. and I have had a healthy aquarium that looks great to me, with no problems since day one. However, every few months I open it and watch the videos from the beginning. Green Aqua is a great quality online library. I hope I will get the chance to visit the gallery one day. stay healthy.
Thank you so much for your kind words and continued support! It's great to know that our videos have been helpful to you throughout your journey. We're constantly working to provide valuable content for our community, and it's rewarding to hear that you find our videos helpful. We hope that one day, you will get the chance to visit our gallery. Cheers!
I can't believe that I watched this video till the end, very useful. This is the best video I found on this topic, very detail and motivated me to try to fert my tank. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yes, this is the one I was waiting for, Green Aqua fertilising regime! I think this is the most important video you guys did. Fertilising can be easy but when one gets deeper into the subject it can be very difficult to understand. I think almost every hobbyist is truely interested in this subject on his own level. Therefor a quick guide like this is so important to help get a tank to the next level, rather one is looking at an all in one solution or looking at mixing dry salts. I'm sure a lot of people will watch this multiple times as their journey in the beautiful world of aquascaping progresses. I've been in the hobby for over 25 years and still learning as my journey continues! Thanks for sharing your knowledge Balasz, you did very well explaining this subject. You might have lost some beginners along the way but I'm sure that these people will get to a point that they will understand and watch the entire video. Kind regards to you Balasz and the rest of the Green Aqua team! Nick
Cheers Nick, thanks for the kind comment. I am really surprised to get feedback from many beginners actually, that they have watched the video until the end. That is so nice to read.
Yes, that's very nice indeed. Back in the day when I started keeping planted tanks, good information was hard to find. So one basically had to find out for one self what worked and what not. Nowdays with your (and others) video's it's so much easier to get a good start and find the right info. Even for advanced hobbyists there are usefull tips and tricks. Thanks again guys!
I know I'm 2 years late, but this is still one of the best overviews of fertilization. It may be too much for absolute beginners, but honestly I think even most relative beginners or intermediate levels would deeply benefit from this video. The only thing made me scratch my head a bit is the perpetuation of the idea that iron helps with reds, when all of the quality evidence shows that only iron deficiencies play any role in not obtaining reds. Extra iron doesn't increase red, especially as red pigmentations like anthocyanins, betacyanins, xanthins, etc have no Fe in them. Iron is of course vital to the process of synthesizing pigments, but typically green pigments actually have a stronger need for iron than others. My understanding is that the idea of iron increasing reds originally came from iron deficiencies in older fertilization systems that resulted in reduced plant health in general. Well, that and geology/textiles, where iron is the main source of red colorations, but we now know that's a false equivalence. Otherwise, excellent information and I'd say, still only intermediate water, not deep
I am sorry that I don't speak in every video but it's nice to come back with a lot of duties. As I mentioned, thanks to you my adventure with aquarium hobby began again. Greetings from Poland 👍
This is the only TH-cam channel I have seen who reply to all comments that is amazing and it takes time to do it I want to thank u sir for all your support ❤
Thanks, well, most of this is not my merit though, it has been done before, I just tried to combine all the knowledge with our experience. Thanks for watching and supporting us Nikolay.
I'm a beginner and you didn't lost me 😁. Perks of being a biochemist and farmer. A little incomplete details on simple chemistry. But all i wanted was the dosing info. Thanks
Not only does this help the beginers, but also the more advanced. I finally solved my "plants not turning red" issue. I live in a region with really high Nitrates in the water. I never even suspected this could be the problem. Great vid, tons of info ! ♥
I'm about to start this freshwater hobby, and I've been doing a lot of research. I have been avoiding the fertilizing aspect of the tank because I found it overwhelming but watch this video @greenaqua WOW! you have just made my research so much easier. thank you so much!
I’m new to Aquascaping (about 9 months or so) and it’s been up and down ride for me. One thing I realized is that; as you mentioned in the video, looking at your tank is the best way to know if all good or something’s wrong. I setup a tank with aquasoil and sand as my first tank. Plants were growing beautifully, things seemed okay. Dosing lightly here and there with ferts and it was good. Few months pass and I notice my reds aren’t as vibrant as they were so I researched and figured it out. Then I proceeded to setup 2 more tanks and similarly I noticed either a deficiency or something and would research for hours or days at some points and I tried so many different things until I figured it out. Many people get discouraged, as I did 2 years ago when I bought my first aquatic plants (they died and I gave up on live plants till 9months ago). What I did differently this time was that I watched the plants closer and as soon as I noticed different leaves or weird new growth or whatever it was, I would research till I figured it out. I’m still learning as I go but my tanks are growing beautifully now! Didn’t loose any plants since I started and have actually done so many trimmings that I was able to fully plants 3 other tanks and all are thriving. Recently I ran into another issue with algae in my co2 tank and very bad growth in another non-co2 tank and I messed with times, settings, ferts and did weeks of work and I finally got them balanced and on the right track again and realized in the end what I did wrong. It’s a big process for sure! Lots of work. The key for me was to enjoy it and don’t stress it. The results of all that hard work pays off and I sit and stare at my tanks any chance I get. I love it and I love content like this for making it easier to understand things. Thanks
I took notes and wrote everything you spoke about. Glad to know about my new profound hobby to find a pro hobbyist aka aquascaper sharing all the details in 38 min.
Nice job, i watched the entire video, good explanation, at the minute 22:50, you mentioned the EI macro elements needed, and you jump over potasium and mentioned fosfates two times.
Just wanted to say I am a beginner (first planted tank) and I really enjoyed your video. Liked and subscribed. If anyone is serious about getting into fertilising their tank I am sure they will watch till the end 👍 great content !
Awesome lesson! Has taken me a year to find the right balance of ferts. Spent too long using others ideas, finally got it right by studying my tank and learning about my plants. Definitely no single method that does it all. Stay safe, love from the UK. Dan
Thank you so much for this!!! The explanation was great and exactly what a lot of us needed. You will hear a lot of people come on TH-cam and mention how important it is to use ferts but they never go into any details beyond that. And for those who might be intimidated you gave a great disclaimer to leave and just use an all in one option. Honestly speaking, I can't see how anyone can top what you guys have done here. Great job guys!!!
Don’t worry! This was a fantastic presentation of how and why we use fertilizer for freshwater planted aquariums. You lost few if any interested viewers. Well done!

that's the beauty of this hobby, the science and the challenge of balancing your ecosystem. Personally, this is the reason why I love setting up tanks...
Then when all is balance, the beauty of it is so breathtaking that I find myself staring at my tank for hours at a time.
This is not only a video about fert’s, it’s also about the passion with your aquascape. Thank you so much, and sorry because my grammar ^.^
Cheers, thanks for the kind comment, your grammar is perfect.
High quality content... I Love green aqua, I Love Budapest... Thanks for Indonesian subtitle
You are welcome, glad you enjoyed this.
Question: at 11:30 while listing the micronutrients you say "Mg - Manganese" Mg is Magnesium while Mn is Manganese. Which one did you mean? Which is included in the micronutrients?
Oh, I misspelled the Mn in the graphics, shoot. Sorry for that, I meant Manganese of course.
please don't worry of it being too complicated.. it's not! just give your advices the best you can and if it's over somebody's head then they can go to another TH-cam and learn the basics. I'm here for your expertise not a beginner lesson or to be talked down too that we are too simple to understand fertilization... sorry to complain but otherwise I love all your films.. especially Dave Chow workshop!!
Basically, every hobbyist need to understand this. Very well explained! I enjoy it so much honestly.
That is good to hear, thanks for the kind feedback!
"This is not a video for beginners."
Watches it anyway. A great video and I understood everything perfectly. Definitely a well constructed video and excellently detailed without being overally complicated. I know a great deal more than I did 38 minutes and 18 seconds ago. Hugely appreciated it.
Glad to read that! Mission accomplished with you then! Cheers.
For instance, you took the road of having a rich fert tank and changed your mind towards lean fert. How would you re-introduce/re-adjust your tank to that kind of situation?
Gradually. Slowly!
This video came just in time.
Enlight me with your knowledge, Balazs. 😂
Haha, trying to man, trying to... :D
*Imagine if he accidentally “sanitized” his hands with one of the ferts...*
I had that thought for a sec lol
Haha, that would have been funny. I should have done that, but I would have had to get up afterwards to wash my hands and my foot is broken, so it's a mess walking around with crotches. Haha.
Uh... imagine if he accidentally added sanitiser to one of the aquariums!!!
Haha, right Alexander.
Rather; "Accidentally" ^_^
Thank god this movie was made. Only now I realized how important it is to dose each element individually for each aquarium. You are doing an amazing job so that every hobby aquascaper can enjoy running their dream tank. Thank you very much.
I hope that I will soon visit your Green Aqua workshop at Hungary. Poland Loves you all ❤️
Thanks so much for your words 💚
I swear the first time I watched this I was completely lost. But 5 months later I watch this for the second time, I understand everything. This is pure gold. This guy is an expert and this is a very concise video full of great advices.
Thanks man, appreciate the feedback 🙏

Having been in the hobby for almost two decades, all posted in the video is the truth.. very well explained.. when I have people asking about planted tanks I will send them this video. Just watch it time and time again.. and take notes.. it is a perfect video.
Thanks so much! Your support - especially with your experience - is much appreciated!
The best channel in youtube for aquascaping, and thank you for subtitles in spanish
You're welcome, thanks for the support, and welcome to the channel.
Im a complete beginner and i love this stuff stayed through the whole thing great job explaining 👏🏽
Green Aqua understood. It wasn‘t meant as lecture, but the definition is something people often do get hung up upon 😊
Yeah, I still try to avoid science as much as I can. B.
Wonderfull video, just astonishing. Just at 11:18 of the video, the signe of manganese is Mn. Magnesium is Mg.
I lost at last time and today I come back again. Thank you so much 💓
Very good, welcome back!
You are the simplest aquascapers who tell us the truth , you never lose a single subscriber ❤
nice many good infos and not confusing. nice comprehension of how to fertilize
Cool, good to read. Cheers.
Great video. As someone fresh back into aquariums and newer to aquascaping, information and PATIENCE is key.
I bought master test kits, not to just test the water, but to make sure I could recognize the changes as the readings changed. Now the kits sit until I start another tank. (Uh oh)
A fertiliser schedule is key.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, I also think that mosses will get darker in warm water, we see that with the Betta tank too. Cheers.
I’m a beginner. You didn’t lose me in 15mins because I took a hour break and came back for the rest of the video. Lol 😂
But it was very informative. 👍🏻
An excellent talk on fertilisation I agree with all the previous comments absolutely brilliant
Hello Balazs!!!
Im from Brazil, not even a beginner yet, im only doing research to start it as much right as possible and not, you not lose me, I really had watched it all and have to thank you for all that I’ve Learned!!
Cool. Glad to hear, you'll get there, good luck with your first tank!
Greetings from Germany
Bernhard and Sabine
Thanks for the kind comment, glad you like the video and the presentation - well, I'm not a native speaker so I do speak slower than most. Cheers.
@@GreenAquaShop Hello again. Please let me ask one question : I'm very satisfied with my tank. All my plants doing fine, even HCC and
Ludwigia Rubin for example.N is ~ 20, P~ 1, Potassium ~15, Magnesium ~15, FE ~ 0,15 , CO2 ~ 30.
Thank you.

I particularly enjoyed the last 20 seconds as Balazs tries to rationalize with himself.

I have seen the majority of your videos and love the fact that you tell it how it is and absolutely no BULLSHIT!
Been a keen aquarist for 25 years and aquascaping for a year now and I failed quite a few times but your videos are the BEST!! Clearly understand them unlike others...well done 👍🏾🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have purchased a 560l but i am currently still learning a lot with my other 3 tanks and when I think I'm ready I will pursue my goal of having a near perfect tank...........fingers crossed ...
Sounds really good, fingers crossed! Cheers!
Hi,
Here's a scared but motivated beginner.
I really appreciate each of the greenaqua videos.
Thanks for everything!!
Be safe!
Greetings from Costa Rica!
Glad you like them! Thanks for the kind feedback.
All those studies in medical school has done me good. I was worried since you said that newbies probably wouldn't understand this, but in human bodies, we also talk about macronutrients and micronutrients in biochemistry! I'm glad I kept watching. Good things you teach here.
There you go, yeah, these are the same things - it's nature. :)
First, it is very brave of you to go into fertilization topic as you know how it is these days on social media everybody knows everything better than others :D
But, seriously it is unbelievable what is going on.
Super helpful! I'm not a pro, just a girl who loves her fish and plants. I took copious notes!!!
That is cool to read, welcome to the channel. I hope you'll like our other tutorials too and you'll build your beautiful planted tank! Cheers!
Yes, you clearly know what you're doing, that is very good to read! One press fert is a good expression, I will use it. ;) Cheers.
Haha.

Stay tuned Ross, cheers.
Green Aqua can i ask a question? Should i use the ada power sand and the ada bacter 100 with the ada soil? Is it a must? Thanks 👍
No, it is not a must, it just helps you with cycling the tank quicker.
Wow great explanation. As a beginner, this helps alot. Don't worry a beginner like me watch till the end.
Cheers, thx for watching til the end.
How r u supposed to explain it better? I think it has being the very first time i have understand a macro idea of ferts. You always make things easy for us! Apreciated!
You are welcome, glad this got clear for you! Mission accomplished!
WOW! Very informative
I'm a beginner in aquascaping and am about to start my first tank and I didn't think this video confused me but instead cleared up some points that I had questions about. Thanks for this excellent video.
Oh, glad you found this clear and useful, mission accomplished. Cheers.
Cheers, glad you found this useful, thanks for the kind comment!
Thanks for the video. One of the best videos about tank fertilizers.
Dude... thank you for saying what we need to know in the beginning of the video. Unlike 10000 other channels on this website. With that said, i'd sit through this 38min 18sec video even if Im a beginner :)

Good luck with your scapes, glad we inspire. Gogogo! Cheers!

I can't believe that I watched this video till the end, very useful. This is the best video I found on this topic, very detail and motivated me to try to fert my tank. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
J'en avais terriblement besoin, je suis aquariophile depuis 15 ans et je crois que je m étais égaré. Merci
You are welcome, thanks for the feedback, and good luck with your aquarium!
You're welcome, thanks for the support!

Not only does this help the beginers, but also the more advanced. I finally solved my "plants not turning red" issue. I live in a region with really high Nitrates in the water. I never even suspected this could be the problem. Great vid, tons of info ! ♥
Cool, glad we sorted one issue out! On to the next one, haha.
It took me 5 years with daily learning to completely understand what are you talking about! 🤜🤛
It took me 15 years to be able to at least talk about it in this way, haha. You are much smarter than I am.
I'm about to start this freshwater hobby, and I've been doing a lot of research. I have been avoiding the fertilizing aspect of the tank because I found it overwhelming but watch this video @greenaqua WOW! you have just made my research so much easier.
thank you so much!
You're so welcome, glad you found this useful and hope you'll like our other videos too. Cheers.
U wont ever lost any new beginner viewers sir! Hurra🤩😎👍🏻💐
Cheers! Glad for that!
Nice job, i watched the entire video, good explanation, at the minute 22:50, you mentioned the EI macro elements needed, and you jump over potasium and mentioned fosfates two times.
A small mistake, sorry!
Dan
Yepp Dan, you got it. Plants will always tell, experience tops everything. Thanks for that feedback, much appreciated. Cheers.
i keep repeating this video until i understand it, since the translation not work well but its help me a lot,
thank you so much,
👍
I am sorry for the automatic subtitling, it is the best we can do. You are welcome. Cheers.
Thanks so much. Cheers!
I am a beginner, and appreciate your tutorial. Outstanding job. Thank you.
Thanks for the explanation, I am a beginner and was so confused, now I have a starting point!
Don’t worry! This was a fantastic presentation of how and why we use fertilizer for freshwater planted aquariums. You lost few if any interested viewers. Well done!
Thanks so much for the encouragement, it is much needed!
