    Hello everyone!
Thank you so much for all of your kind words & well-wishes for my first year of teaching. It was such a rewarding experience & I'm currently in the middle of my very first summer break - I've never actually had a summer to myself! 😳
I did disappear for the school year but I'm working on a few updates for you & my channel. Stick around & I'm looking forward to sharing more very soon!

The sign-out board is such a great idea! Good luck with your 1st year!!

Nice room. Thank you for sharing. When I do desk fairy, you may want to create a rubric that tells them what specific expectations you have. For instance, my students are to keep text books and workbooks on the left, folders and journals on the right. They are to pur their pencil boxes in the middle. There should be no loose papers or trash and their nametags & cursive tape must be intact(not damaged). I bought a toy, our school mascot, for a student to keep on his/her desk for the day. I also have candy and stickers. In the past, I did it every Friday, too. But this year, it will be completely spontaneous. They will never know when I will check. That way they always have to be ready instead of get ready.

Love your space. It's very streamlined, not too busy and inspires me to some of the same things. I'm just coming back to 4th grade after many years learning the CCSS and NGSS. Love the idea of the maker space. I just learned about that and growth mindset recently. I totally love "How to be a Friend." Good luck! I can tell that you'll do fine!

Love it! Visually appealing too. I know it must be hard for kids to focus and thrive in messy, piled up spaces. That's how all the classrooms were when I was in school & how a lot are that I've seen these days. Very organized and I know I'd love to have class in here :) ....oh to be young again lol

Thank you! Having an organized room is very important to me ;) I have 32 students so things can get messy fast & there's no time to waste in our day!

Love your classroom. Hope you've had a great start of the school year. You got a lot of good ideas, and is nice you got rules set up from day one. Best wishes from a fellow teacher.

When you give a lesson using the Elmo, will the students be able to see the board? I'm wondering because I would like to try putting my Elmo in the front like yours.

Hello Ruby, I had 33 students last year & there were only issues with seeing the board if I wrote towards the bottom. Thankfully I was always able to move what the Elmo cart was projecting whenever that happened. But for the most part we didn't have any visibility issues ☺️
