I feel like searching for a missing hiker... in the dark. while it's snowing. without telling anyone (who can contact you). and going off the path. and going inside some random person's house. ... is a horrible idea.
Interesting detail: During Burgers and Frights at 49:29 the sign says "tuonela" which seems to be a double entendra play on words with the English word tunnel in reference to the tunnel up ahead in game but also the Finnish word of the same spelling which according to Wikipedia is the realm of the dead also known as the Underworld of Finnish mythology.
Missing Hiker feels like a proof-of-concept, like it could be much more... I would swear I'd already seen you cover Rental, but I guess that's just because it's such a Library-man game. Burger & Frights had an impossibly busy night train service. But that was way better than it had any right to be. And it's funny to see how your Outer Wilds loop-mindset carried over to this loop-based game too. It definitely made me want to go get some burgers and fries with my bike in the middle of the night.
In regards to the signs in Burger and Frights, Tuonela is the Land of the Dead, or Underworld, in Finnish mythology. I guess you could say you're trapped in the afterlife, reliving your last moments (until you can move on?).
The Carpenter film that Burger & Frights is inspired by could probably be In The Mouth Of Madness. Sam Neill's character tries to escape the strange town but keeps ending up driving back in, stuck in a loop as well. A person on a bike is seen too so it must be that one.

Such a cool collection of games, I really enjoyed playing them. Lots of style and dripping with atmosphere. Missing Hiker in particular could be expanded upon to make a more 'complete' experience.
That is what I love about just chilling in the metro station here in Berlin, I can just make up stories for people and make a live and such for them because at the end of the day, they are all people too with their own dreams and aspirations Edit- This is about the Train scene in Burger and Frights, so as not to make anybody think I am off topic
The last one gave me uncomfortable dread and that middle one with the bunnies did a pretty good job of reminding me of long gone gaming times, but I honestly could have watched the entire hour of the first game. There really was some lost potential.
I'd consider it the lazy way to create maps. I mostly do it for fun, and I've had a bad experience with the hammer editor. No matter the amount of tutorials I watched, I couldn't figure anything out.
@@typicaluraniumcore9913 Hammer is something that you can only truly come to learn with time. Like, you won't immediately learn how to paint masterpieces just by being taught basic principles. It takes experience.

It was all worth it for that last game; no annoying exposition, gameplay moved along nicely and the ending tied everything together really well.
