Mental health is important. Do what makes you happy, and importantly, find the right balance. Love your Angel Fish!

absolutely you should use your platform as a content creator to speak about mental health. I very much look forward to that video. Keep your head up.

Thank you for the support. I think speaking about mental health will probably come in a “lets talk” format which i am planning on filming a sit down and talk video sometime soon

Totally agree with you about bare bottom tank, ALL my breeding tanks are now bare bottom except my shrimp tank, it’s looking great mate, get those angles going 👍

Good luck with everything. Just a side note i have found that with my Angel pairs ( keeping in mind i employ parent raising methods ) I often need to separate the female from the tank as the Males focus on the female as a threat to the brood. This separation usually last about three weeks or so. Once brood is removed from Tank I give the male a week to settle and then back in with the female. There will be a week or so of him being an arse then they settle in and spawn again. In short where i am going with this is ( In reference to your Blacks ) possibly try separating them for a week or two then let them go through courtship again to get their hormones flowing. As i say just my observations. :). Chin up ole boy most of life is a series of mistakes with occasional revelations of success. :)

Thats an interesting theory and one i can easily try and see if that helps at all, would let the black female recovery and heal her fins up a bit so i might try that. Thank you

My pleasure, as i say because i employ the parent raising methods for these guys, i am finding the behavioural aspects to be quite critical Also as you mentioned giving the female a break to heal is important too. Hope they get their jiggy on again soon for you. :)@@Kirks_Aquariums

If you want to you can put plants in pots for the aquariums and move them when you have to catch fish if you want, so you still have that natural look😊

You just need to watch out for an ammonia spike , did the same a while back and I had the spike . Lost a few fish

Yeah i used to run bare bottom tanks about a year ago but decided to put substrate in all my tanks, now reverting back to all bare bottom tanks
