If you guys are wondering, this is a very great course called (Michele Thomas Method - Russian). Similar to Pimsleur but in my opinion this is better than Pimsleur. Both are fantastic but I wanted to pass that along because I heard this and thought it was amazing. No idea what it was from and then I stumbled upon the Michele Thomas method. Best of luck in your language learning!

This is my favorite video about learning russian. it makes me feel like i could really learn it. are there any more? The teaching and repetition of the two students is so helpful and the way she teaches you to ask things right away and the way she builds onto the language in natural conversational but useful way helps me remember a lot more than any other way i've tried to learn languages! I keep coming back to this after learning more and more and it is still superior in every way! So are there any more?

Ha! After this lesson youll be able to say many things in Polish too as a lot of words are very similar - for example: Where one can buy? - Gdzie można kupić? in Polish and it sounds almost the same in Russian...
So everybody stay strong and learn languages because it's a great thing ^_^

This is great! Exactly what I was looking for. I love history, so the interjections about etymology were really interesting to me and helpful in understanding the language. I actually prefer this method of audio only, because when trying to learn with images, I found the visuals to just be distracting. I work with a lot of Russian people and now maybe I'll start to understand what they're saying ;)

Omelette DU fromage! I ended up buying this whole thing from Audible. Server this as feedback that Michel Thomas Method - Russian do work. Took me about a month to develop intonation but now I can say I'm almost fluent in Russian. Always practice your words include more daily if possible. And take your time while speaking to perfection does matter. Once you are engaged in a conversation with a Slavic person they will listen. Not forever though. Worth every penny.

Her pronouncation is very good, exactly as moscow radio standart
bank is italian word = seat or table, place for exchange money,
bankrupt (rus. bankrot )= banka rota = broken table (by angry creditors)
italian -> english bank -> russian банк

Thank you for this audio! It is so good!!! I love the explanations you give for the words , history and such. And what they sound like, for example: Car a Shore. This is one of the best teachings so far. Just wanted to say thank you. Also, I just love language. To those who are so critical of America, I say - get out then. Too many people have died to give us the freedoms we have. So if you hate it so much, then get the heck out. That would make this an even better country. Better yet, move to Russia. They might not treat your bad attitude so nice.

Correction Politics and Economics, comes from Greek language Πολιτική και Οικονομικά. The English language maybe a global language but it lucks depth and flexibility and that is why if you want to speak scientifically with higher level in English you actually have to speak Greek.

Aside from him pronouncing things right then her correcting him to to only return to the correct way, what really irritates me the most is this idea that she firmly believes that Russians are posh. Sure, Be polite, however, Russian culture doesnt ask you to make yourself sound like you're on an NPR program.

The lady is perfect but the students are bad. I don't know on what basis are they hiring these people, but they sound like people who are kept against their will and not like people who are genuinely interested in learning the language. That's the only setback for me.

Dasha law, thank you so much for uploading this video. I was wondering if you could possibly share this amazing teacher's contact info because I really need to learn Russian immediately. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated. Thank you!
