Today, I just happened to be looking through my liked videos, a playlist which I forgot existed/youtube kept for you. When I saw this on the list, it just demanded another rewatch. Such a great, yet humble little experience. I think Chance's comment below hits the nail on the head pretty well. The "sappy" music kind of suggests that you're about to watch another "run of the mill" student film with an overly sweet/cheesy narrative. I mean, not that those guys have done something "wrong" or anything, but yours really ended up standing out as something genuine. It lets you feel out whatever emotions are there on your own instead of parading them right in front of your face, and the way that's handled is something to be appreciated. I can't believe it's been 5 years (~2 weeks off)! Anyways, I hope things are going well for you Mr. Sugi.
Plot twist: it wasn't paint that she was using, it was troll blood (if you don't know what homestuck is, then you wouldn't understand what I meant by "troll blood")
