i saw duncan trussell at a live podcast recording in new york city in 2016. at the time i was very depressed, and something that really helped me was a video called "Duncan Trussell on Depression" where he puts it into such a good perspective... i was able to speak to him after the show, and i explained this all to him briefly, then thanked him and started walking away. he grabbed my shoulder and said "woah woah wait.... how are you doing though?" and continued to talk to me more about my path to fight depression. that conversation helped me so much and is a moment i will never forget. duncan, if you somehow read this, thank you ... and IM OUT OF THE WOODS.

Anyway.......the used book store where I work closed down about a week ago. Then, 3 days ago the first case in our county was reported....and the guy literally lives 3 houses away from my parents. No shitting. Now we have 5 cases...that we even know of. I know someone who currently had a bad cough and fever...and called to get tested, and was rejected....because he didn't meet the "criteria." It's fucking bizarre. There's way more cases than we even realize... So yeah, this got very real very quick. I've worked at my job for 3 years now and love it. And now...will the business itself be able to rebound when this is over? And....WHEN will it really be over? No one knows. So yeah....I'm concerned. This virus isn't a joke and neither are all the many many dominoes of our society it has knocked down already. And this is really just the very beginning...we pretty much know this will last for quite a few months. SO.....................all that to say, I really needed this episode. Sorry about venting...I know a LOT of people are feeling the same damn thing.

Joe couldn't be MORE right about light pollution. When a Rave I was at when I was 19 was broken up in downtown Phoenix, it was relocated to out in the desert and it was insane the amount of stars that are out there. Totally mind blowing and humbling to see, and we just forget it

Duncan is a legendary mythological being haha, amidst all this isolation and social distancing, I see all us antisocial types thinking "now the whole world will understand how it feels to be anxious 24/7". My heart completely goes out to those who have lost people, but we are all in the perfect circumstances to come together more than ever, keep our hopes high, and share a deep understanding of the necessity for community. As Joe said, the people who make it through all this, we CAN get a positive out of this.

For LA county yeah it's a full on shut down so I think he would have to pass off the podcast and travel to the studio as absolutely necessary. For LA county yeah it's a full on shut down so I think he would have to pass off the podcast and travel to the studio as absolutely necessary. I'm just outside the area, but LA county in particular is experiencing a really drastic rise in case rate and hospitizations. The ICU beds are already at 70% capacity as well. Sucks...
I'm sure even if your on lock down you can still travel to your place of work, so maybe podcasts won't stop but may just be a more limited number.
