I'm still sad that Sadness was cancelled. Jokes aside, there was an attempt at reviving it for Wii U, but literally the same day, the project died once again after the company who wanted to buy the rights couldn't obtain them.
Sadness was one of my most anticpated titles for the Wii. It's funny now considering how little information there was, and I was probably too young to realise that the game trailer wasn't actually game footage.
Would've loved to have seen Sadness release but clearly it was not meant to be. Then again, if it were released for the Wii U? Nintendo of America would've made sure the release was botched. Beyond glad, no game deserved to die on that system in retrospect.
Such a fun series! That Dirty Harry game looks like it could have been a lot of fun--a great, iconic character and the changes in how aggressive or lenient you are with criminals would have been fun. I remember being so excited for the Bonk game!!!
Thank you! Yeah, could have been interesting considering the source material, but the trailer gives nothing away. Bonk looks great too, but not sure I'm sold on the art style.
I recall High Voltage Software having multiple games in development for the Wii that didn't release. Or at least, if they released, they were significantly different from their initial reveals. One was first person swarm shooter with a gothic theme. There was supposedly on-system footage. I think it released in XB360 as a top down perspective with a different theme.
