The bird battle reminded me of a short story I read in high school about some people who found a large bird that turned out to be a phoenix. It became a news sensation and at some point it was decided it's rebirth would make a fantastic spectacle, so the people starved it and it got sicker and sicker. A large crowd from all parts gathered like Woodstock to see its rebirth. Which it did, consuming everyone in it's flames as it did so.
This is the exact kind of game I have wanted for YEARS now, I can't wait to see what our guy does with this. I would so love for it to be an eventual "upgrade boat" and maybe you can do more on the island where your boat is docked (if you can even call that small area an island lol)
I like to think this is all happening in the mind of a child playing in his bathtub, like the tug boat is a small plastic boat, the fire bird is a red coloured rubber ducky, the turtle is a turtle floaty white some plastic toy you attached to it, the warm thing from the first episode could be a warm on a string of some shit, kiddo weird shit bro, and the octopus is just a toy octopus, the kid just has a wild imagination

imagine being a giant ocean bird that shoots fire and can dive underwater just to get demolished by a guy in his fishing boat that’s throwing harpoons at you with just his hands.
I hope he makes a whole finished game, imagine all the different ways you could fight monster', like using other types of boats and weapons, having a co-op mode would be sick too. There's just infinite possibilities

I half expected the final boss to go something like "Okay final boss time.......ITS MY ISLAND" But nope just a completely different island, you have no attachment too
Hang on. Every monster fully disappeared when it got killed before the turtle, but the gun array on the turtle's back stuck around and exploded when it died. I think someone turned that creature into a war beast. It would explain it's decreased offensive powers compared to the others (no summoning lightning, spewing lavaballs, regeneration or something comparable) and fewer methods of attack before phase 2 (the thing honestly just tries to run from you/ram you if you get too close instead of actively pursue most times). This just makes me more curious! Who made that gun emplacement? The same people who built those rebar-stone arches in the turtle boss fight? If so, where did they go? Are they -if they are real- the ones responsible for the slew of titanic monsters dominating the ocean with near supernatural abilities and size? And why does our protagonist hunt them down?

what if the turtle God or whatever was captured to buy some secret organization and turned mechanical so they could weaponize the kaijus and you are a fisherman or whatever trying to stop them for weaponizing all the kaiju's and destroying the world that's just what I think might be happening
Can we talk about how invincible this hunter is? He is taking massive blasts to keep his boat running and hand throwing harpoons vast distances to pierce the dense bodies of these behemoths
I think adding in a story; some character/vehicle progression; and some smaller fights, exploration/travel, and/or quests to flesh out the space between the bosses would turn this into a really incredible experience. It's already amazing, and I think it has the bones to be so much more
