  • Zion Redington was born with ectrodactyly, having only one finger on each hand and one toe on each foot.
After getting adopted from China when he was just two months old, Zion joined a loving family in Tennessee.
However, after continuously breaking his toes, Zion decided to have his feet amputated at age six.
His mother forced him into sports and eventually Zion discovered wheelchair rugby. Even though he hated it at first, mainly because his teammates were so much older, Zion stuck with the sport, eventually rising the ranks to join the U.S. national team.
Still the youngest on his roster, by 15 years no less, Zion now loves everything about the sport, and will represent his generation, his disability, his family and his country at the Paralympics in Paris.
