The cost for repairs will ultimately drive me out. I can't treat thr game like an old 80s arcade game where I have a sack of quarters to just keep popping in to get new lives. I don't mind grinding the tanks at all. But having to pay 3000SL to fix my Spitfire is bogus.

Phly, don't knock the StuG. In RB, with its very low profile it can make an excellent ambush tank, especially the lower rank ones with the high fire rate.
Boz 2011 true, and I’ll say the armour is better on hetzer for sure, but I have had a bounce or two when I played the Stug 3 G because I mean once a 76 millimeter Sherman’s shell actually bounced off my front hull, so yes the stuG life does workout. Also I really wish that war thunder would add the Stug 4 or at least give the Stug 3 its mg 32 or 44 because it has the gun shield for it still.
Phly thats what you told about the stug that it only has 50mm is uncorect. The stug III G has 80mm of armor and tracks add on armour so that aint light armour :D
it would be considered medium armor not light. as its front plate is only 20mm thinner then a tiger H1's front plate. and the panzer IV H has the same armor and is considered a medium tank.
you haven't played a plane in the last 12 war thunder videos... you gotta keep your flying skill up. I know playing planes gets repetitive but would love to see you play the Hornet Mk.III you haven't flown that plane yet (i belive)

kv2: in reality hardly able to move, could not turn turret unless on perfectly flat ground. WT and WoT: total destruction machines. russian bias everywhere.
If You take it like that a lot of tanks would be potatos in this game. Especially the tiger ii which would be a lot slower, and most of them would turn their turret in minute/s not seconds.
@@maxim6088 russians have no good penetration, damage ( explosive ) and dispersion up to rank IV and no good depression up to mbts. Germans have all the things from above but lack a bit on armor and mobility, while the americans have a mix of most. So to conclude it, there is absolutely no russian bias but on the contrary.
The stug42 G, if played right is unkillable! Because you can angle it so much that shots just bounce off. I've had so many good games in it. I do recomend playing it.

StuG III G is actually very good. With additional armor the front gets up to 80, enough to bounce some shots at medium to far range, if you wiggle enough, it can even bounce 75 shermans, t-34s and kv-1 at point blank. Also it's very cheeki breeki

Trivia fact! The Jagdpanzer 38 (t) wasn't called Hetzer in war. This name was meant to be for the smaller E-10 Jagdpanzer which never saw production. The name Hetzer came from a miss understanding between german scientist and allied generals. The scientists discriebed a small agile tank with a flat silhouette and as the generals saw the Jagdpanzer 38 (t) they thought this has to be the Hetzer. btw the (t) does not stand for "tonnes" it stands for "Tschechien", Czech Republic.

since i was a kid i loved this tank so much. i do not care about the many drawbacks that it has. i love it. it's like a nice little turtle that has decided to fight back against giants.
Phly you should have done the Jagdpanzer IV (not IV/70) instead of the hetzer, it's just better all-round in my experience because you can use the gun to fire around corners diagonally and really angle that front armor without exposing your sides. It's also hella faster.
a 17pounder will go straight through that from almost any range (in my experience anyways), especially if one uses the APBC round or the one with the flat cap. That thing eats angles for breakfast
Sturer Emil with the new BR of 5.7 with the best plane Hs.129B-3 (you can also us tigers). Use you 128mm K.40 Keg Cannon to destroy jumbos from the front and as well IS-2 and T-34-85. Show the power of German engineers at BR 5.7. That Bias at its finest.
Sure, the StuGs get one shot 75% of the time, but the amount of damage you can do with it before you die is insane. The StuG III F is the vehicle I have with the best service record because of its low profile, speed (it is an _assault_ gun after all, not a TD), and that glorious StuK 40. Edit: In reference to your comment on tank destroyer tactics in general; I don't use them as intended. I use TDs as main battle tanks (even the Hetzer), and it usually works fairly well. I personally don't think the StuG's armor lends itself to conventional TD tactics. I use the StuG III F almost identically to how I use the Panzer IVs.

The stug is easily my favorite tank i have. Its a joy to use and no one knows how to hit its weak spots. Great gun, frontal armor, and mobility

Against Jumbo, hitting a track often causes the tank to lurch giving you a side shot.

The Hetzer's (and pz IV's) APCR will penetrate the mantlet of a jumbo at close range. I've done it many times
but stugs are sooo goooood. they go through almost anything and their low profile is amaziiing

I would like to see war thunder with more maps like kursk, like real tank battles. Tanks weren't used so much during city fights

The APCR can pen a jumbos turret. I've killed them many times doing it but you need to be at extremely close range of course
