It’s a reaction video. They need to time-our to respond to what’s been said: if they’re still processing one line, they’ll miss stuff in the next, if they don’t pause. And talking over the video (as was already mentioned above) would be even worse. The reactions and responses are part of the entertainment, and the main point here.
