The endless possibilities of jamming with this instrument are crazy; in film composition, oh my goodness, it's like you're not even trying, and it just creates these fantastic melodies.
This just made me realize that you could use a computer keyboard as a makeshift ~4x12 isometric MIDI keyboard. That's way smaller than a Lumatone and wouldn't really work for larger EDOs, but it would be an easy way to get people started on isometric keyboards. Wait, I just saw that Sevish's Scale Workshop already supports this. Nice! It even has MIDI output.
Surprised that augmented and diminished 7th chords didn't get more attention, since a couple of big differences in the handling of these distinguish 12EDO from most other tunings (it tempers out both types of associated diesis, but most other tunings don't, or temper out one but not the other).

It's definitely a great tool for film composition!

I think some gaming keyboards are velocdity sensitive.
the chord shapes is the feature that sold me on the Lumatone.
It’s a pretty powerful feature!
Smart job showing image above with how the chords look like.
Good stuff!
Thanks! We will eventually have a library full of those images for all different tunings and layouts
@@lumatone This needs to happen asap. I would hate for you all to say coming soon and it won't happen for another year.
This is such an excellent video. I love to get my hands on the lumatone and be an affiliate for them.
many thanks!

I really want a video on 29 edo.
Im trying to imagine a 12edo layout replicating a bass fretboard. Chromatic and in 4ths. Anything like that?
There are folks who have made some pretty cool layouts based on guitar. We'll hopefully be covering that in the future!
I’d love to see more stuff for 48 tet
I don't have a lumatone
It looks like you have 4 eyebrows
