bowser's fury was amazing. i especially love the musical references in the game. for anyone curious, here are the ones i remember: - the opening cutscene uses a remix of 3d world's mystery house / ?-box theme - phase 2 of the final bowser fight uses bowser's leitmotif from 3d world, most commonly known for its use in the world bowser theme - bowser jr's appearance in the ending cutscene uses an iteration of his theme from super mario galaxy

Obviously Fury has numerous differences, like the world being a single huge area, but Odyssey already revitalized exploration-centric Mario years ago. my favourite iteration of Bowser is in the games where he talks (RPGs and stuff). the best characterization of Bowser in my opinion is in Super Paper Mario where all his lines are hilarious. and then he sacrifices himself to save Princess Peach and i cried.
