Doug the size of the loop and how far it is form the ground for the target is how you set a snare thanks for watching pal and you can email me reedmike279@gmail.com for more info thanks a lot
I have a video up where I cought a wolverine in a Thompson snare. I ordered beaver snares. But I used them for Wolverine because I shot a moose and those were the only snares I had with me.
Thank you so much for this, that answers a lot of questions, I’m just wondering is do you have replace after every animal or do they last a long time, I really appreciate everything that you do
rick some time a youtie chew them really bad but for the most part you can use them for years but if you need to replace on just go to the hardware store and buy the same size cable and use the lock and parts off the old one to make a new one for a little of nothing you can get 50 foot of cable for less than 5 bucks thanks for asking
Good video mike I’ve got my snares ready for this year still got to dye some more traps but I’m ready where my body is or not I make my own snares but if you want some good snares check out southern snares that’s where I get my snare supplies from you can even talk to Brian and tell him specific what you want he makes some of the best snares on the market he loads them right
Nice vid.mike check out archie phillips outdoors filmed in the 70s and 80s..fishing hunting native american ways.they are great vids I think you will love them.
time to get ready for trapping you all good luck this year
I think now I will have to wait for the next one to see what I have been doing wrong. Simple explanation not complicated. Thanks Mike
