Joerg Mueller . You are so right Joerg. I’ve not long discovered Dr Berk. He’s one of the best speakers I’ve seen on TH-cam. I’m surprised that he hasn’t had more views. Glad to have found him. 👍👍
Just happened to run across his lecture from 2008 on the internet found him to have a great understanding of american politics. By the way I am an african american who voted republican. I was embarassed by the non condemnation of congresswoman omar.
Professor Berk gave a great lecture, but he makes a mistake (after the lecture, answering questions) when he says it was reasonable for the Allies to reject the proposal to bomb rail-lines to a death-camp, as this would divert precious military resources to a non-military purpose. I suppose Professor Berk forgot that late in the war, the Allies were bombing military targets near the death-camp, and could have bombed the rails also, at virtually no extra expense or risk. That they chose not to do so, is not justified by Professor Berk's argument.
I remember once going to a bathhouse and I met a very, shall we say, “generous” man who went by Jabbs…. I hope that you are one and the same. Thank you :)
One of the great public speakers of our time, Dr. Berk. Brilliant.

Dr. Stephen M. Berk is a Professor of History at Union College in Schenectady, New York.
We must never forget.
I think Prof. Berk is wrong stating the German army invented the creeping barrage. It's supposed to have been the Brits (Sir Henry Horne).
