I love the Obscura sound a lot, they are so clacky it sounds like it has a roughness that is thicker. I also like the NK Cream+ with copper but they seem slightly thinner.
Bro .. i recommend you go foamless if you are doing comparison, especially if you're looking to test for brightness. They're hardly any difference due to the PE foam.
Just the feedback I am looking for. Thank you 🙏🏻 I also got feedback about the mic on the desk that’s not helping the situation, so I’ve moved it. Check out this video. I hope it’s an improvement. Started doing no foams in general. It’s a learning curve but I love it. If you have any other feedback I would love to hear it so I can get top notch sound tests. th-cam.com/video/TYuN0N8FHu4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1pgpAxOBzmwuOCO6
@@key_reverie Usually I would even avoid PE foam to be the test comparison fair. PE foam has the most impact in modding the sound by the way. You can remove it to experience it yourself. In general I think one or two different mics are okay. You just have make sure that the video's sound is almost similar to real life experience. With the same setup (be it a bad mic or good) you can then make fair comparison between different switches or different keyboard. When any switch sound brighter or louder, it would be obvious to the viewers. Additionally, the reason why I recommend foamless is because all PE foam builds sound almost identical. A board that is technically good can bright out the "brightness" of a switch. Vice versa, ANY board with foam often leads to a similar sound signature.
I love the sound of the NK cream, the mode obscura is loud for me so i prefer the nk cream more smoother and the color of the switches are amazing

I agree with you completely. I love using the Nk Cream+ stem when I frankenswitch though.
I love both keyboards! ❤

What do you think of using a Aluminium plate?
That would pair really well too. I will do a video in the near future showcasing that!
