    Hi and thanks for all the valuable information! Do you know if there´s any special or exceptional way of submitting the work permit application without being in the US? For example, if I legally stablish a postal address in the US, do I need to wait inside the country until my work permit is approved? Or I can be out of the country til having my work permit granted? Thanks!

    Hello, I have multiple extended DS-2019 forms from the same institute. The only difference among these forms is the end date. I'm wondering if I need to upload all of these forms to the system? I only uploaded the latest one and was assigned a case number. How do I update the information if I need to provide others DS-2019 forms?

      I personally prefer to be as thorough as possible by providing information on all DS 2019 forms.

      Possibly an o1 visa but this requires consular processing.

    Hi, I am about to be granted a fulbright scholarship to study in US but I don't know if I should accept beacause of the 2 years home residency. Actually my wife recently got her green card and we are thinking.

      @TheGreenCardLawyer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its smart to give this careful consideration and be prepared of potentially needing to fulfill the requirements of the two year rule.

    I’m currently on an F1 (a year into my program), I intend to apply for my J1 Waiver (was on it for 3.5 years) and was curious to know if I could simply go ahead based on No Objection?

    • @TheGreenCardLawyer
      @TheGreenCardLawyer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two factors to consider on whether or not to apply for a J1 no objection waiver: 1. Did an applicant receive U.S. Government funding; 2) Will the applicant's home country issue a no objection statement

    Thanks for this video! I am on a j1 visa with a 2 year rule and my fiancee is thinking of marrying me next month. What are the consequences if I proceed with the marriage?

    • @TheGreenCardLawyer
      @TheGreenCardLawyer  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You're welcome :) Congratulations on your future marriage. You will need to file for a waiver to stay in the United States after your program ends if you want to apply for a marriage-based green card. If you are married you would be eligible for a J1 exceptional hardship waiver.

    Hi, are physicians who trained in US for their residency and fellowship eligible for waiver through no objection statement

    • @TheGreenCardLawyer
      @TheGreenCardLawyer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally, no in this scenario the physician will need to pursue other J1 waivers such as the Exceptional Hardship Waiver.

    I am in US right now on J1 visa on a exchange program funded by US govt. which expires on May7, I want to go back to my country for a few months and then come back as a company wants to have me working for them. Its a reputed startup company and is willing to sponsor my VISA to come back and work for them as community manager. Is this possible? How can I make this happen?

      One of the exceptions to not immediately fulfilling the 2 year requirement is applying for an O1 visa.

      If an applicant's DS 2019 expires the applicant is still eligible for a J1 waiver. Additionally, if an applicant overstays and is unable to renew the DS 2019 or change or extend status they will be out of status.

    Hi, Sir. I have J1 visa , and my DS 2019 will expired next March. My funding is from one Buddhist insititute not from the government. I have a US citizen child of 12 years old. Do you think I can be approved by hardship waiver? How much you will ask for this case? I am worried if I cannot get the waiver before next March. Is there any way for me to continue to stay in USA? Can I change my status inside USA? Thanks.

    Hello, Sir. I am from the Philippines. I had ny 12 year internship in the USA last September 2016 but unfortunately was cut short because my employer terminated my employment then my visa. Is it still possible for my to re-apply for another J1 visa? Would it be risky for me since my program sponsor terminated my visa? Thank you.

    Hi Sir, I applied stage III of J1 waiver and sent DS3035 application packet to Indian Embassy, DC and DOS, St Louis on 20th March, 2020. My concern is that it’s still not showing documents received on state.gov site, more than a month now. My J1 is ending on October 2020 and premium processing of H1B is halted. I’m worried if I would be able to apply H1B on time. Please help!
