Thanks for uploading. This is a great story and you do a pretty good reading. If I could lend a constructive criticism - you have talent, excellent enunciation, and speed, but sometimes you go so fast that some drama is lost. You also show an ability to dramatize character voices, but you sadly don't use it much and some lines get ready over so blandly that they're almost mistaken for narration (at least at first). I really hope you slow down a bit for voices in stories, because you really do have enough talent to dramatize them, and I think it's the only thing sorely lacking in this. Otherwise, well done!
Yes, it absolutely does. The supernatural twist with Thoth Amon takes the ending in a new direction, otherwise the plotting, the attempted assassination, and the fight are very similar.

It's about time we see the great REH on here
Great story! Great narration!
Well read. King Conan just barely got through that one, by Crom! Dogs of Hyperboria!

Awesome!!
Absolutely fantastic!
This story has echoes of Kull: By This Ax I Rule, if I'm remembering correctly, and it is interesting to me that the beginning is nearly identical.

It was originally a Kull story. REH rewrote it as a Conan story. The first one in fact!
Was this only part of the book?
This is a closed, self-contained story. The recording constitutes its entirety.
