The family has completely drowned themselves in despair. They’ve cut themselves off from each other. The mother looks like Menma just died a month ago, the father has become a harsh non-empathetic fellow, and the brother feels nothing for anyone. A tragic sentence to place on yourself. I wish they’d have Menma try to reach out to them.

At the end of the movie made two years later, she says, "Either a flower, or a butterfly, or a sweet potato (and also something else I forgot), I can be reborn to anything!" Personally I hope with a lot of other fans that she's gonna be reborn as the kid of Jintan and Anaru...
Menma could talk to 1 person, communicate with everyone through a diary, could interact with more objects in several locations, could hug and grab people and they actually feel it...
And the person mourning Menma and needed the most closure BY FAR was Menma's mother... Why didn't anyone have the idea that Menma fucking give her the closure she needed to move on?!
Miku Ivalice I think losing a kid is something you don’t really get closure on. I think her mom made peace with it as much as she could but her mourning for her feels understandable :(

This looks like it's gonna put me in the feels and I'm not ready.
Before the pandemic, we could order that curry at 20:00 looking exactlythe same, with the egg ramen from the beginning as well, at a yakitori (Japanese grilled chicken) restaurant in Chichibu city. The owner is an Anohana fan and we used to come together there. Now we can't, because of the situation, but he still has the reproduced "secret base" at his shop.
If the pandemic ends, I hope some Anohana fans will come to Japan and visit Chichibu. It has a lot of attractions related to the anime, there are many real places appeared in the show.

No... this translation is not really conveying the nuance of what Menma says in the original version.
Menma originally says "めんま... 死んじゃったことぐらい知ってるよ...", which should be translated like "I do, mom...I know I'm dead..." What she is expressing is "I might be scatterbrained but I know (sadly) I'm dead", not like "Mom. Of course I know I died that day. How could I not?!"
