You should build a second base to build a new thing in the new future episode. Benefits:1. Less laggy than the main Base. 2. Having more space to To make something Awesome. 3. Can be used as carpark Or a warehouse and a Emergency base for Fuel and food.
Some ideas on how to improve the saw blade launcher: Replace the suspension with lvl 1 pistons so that you can turn on and off the tension so it doesn't get stuck on the first set of wheels Add 2 or 4 wheels on the sides spinning the same direction so it spins the saw blade making it do more damage And maybe you could experiment with replacing the wheels with scrap wheels because they have higher friction Also you should add a gravity of piston based reloading mechanism like this Maybe a piston pushing down here Saw Saw Saw Saw Launching mechanism And if these improvements accualy improve it you could do a multiplayer Monday where you make tree cars (like the one You build) and weld the saw launchers to them and then battle with them since saws can destroy tree parts
No one seems to realise that vacuum pumps can place blocks and spudguns can break blocks e.g. Cardboard which can be utilized to fix the whole friction problem and provide better spin
I found that trying to use suspension or pistons to "pinch" items to be completely unreliable and susceptible to glitching. Instead I found that if you place the wheels on a arm and rotate it down in 1% increments with a controller you can achieve a gap of less then 1 block and a more solid positioning then with suspension or pistons which can 'give way' too often to provide force. My elevator system actually uses this method for guidance along a track and the controllers provide or more stable ride and much less wheel bounce then I was ever able to achieve with suspension or pistons.
@@nikkiofthevalley I’d be interested to know how that works. I wanted to do something similar, so I had made a fold-out wall with saws mounted on it. But mine is resource intensive, and extremely laggy.
The best moments in this video for me is the few first tests where the sawblade just plops on the platform and we can see visibly Scrapman's face says 'This might be harder than usual because nothing is easy in this game'
This reminds me of Metal Arms: glitching the system. That game had a gun that fired saw blades that when upgraded would continue to slice up the enemy. They blades would “crawl” around the enemy for a few seconds before disappearing. Because all the characters and enemies were robots it was possible to destroy or sever off parts including the head! Had a big guy with mini Guns were the saws destroyed his legs and left his arms dangling. It still tried to shoot me even though every shot was in the ground. If you haven’t played it look it up! It is worth the play! It came out on 360,ps2, and GameCube. FYI the ps2 version has an extra multiplayer map to make up for the lack of 4 player functionality.
Can you do a battle where each person has their own environment like one person is only allowed to stay in water but is allowed to anything with his vehicle as long as it's a water vehicle . And there is another guy who is who is only allowed to stay in air but he can also do anything with his vehicle but it has to be a airborne vehicle and etc
The only issue I see with that is confining the arena to a fair setup. Like the air vehicle needs a runway where the land and sea vehicles can't bombard it, the sea vehicle needs to be able to hit anywhere on land and pretty high up in the air, and the land vehicle has to meet those same requirements; just out to sea. This all needs to be done in relatively few tiles because loading multiple tiles in and out in multiplayer with a complex combat vehicle in each "medium" is probably going to have the game puking its guts out. Beyond those limitations (the ones of the game) it should be fine. Something like this in TrailMakers would be a bit more plausible.
I think the sawblade launcher might work better if you made some sort of magazine for it so that you dont have to reload as often, also I think that it might work slightly better if the wheels propelled it from the sides instead of the top and bottom.
If only the game could accept builds with more complexity, I'd put dual sawblade containers on both sides with a dual slot slide reloader. Slot 1 centered below saw storage 1 and slot 2 centered above shooting mecanism. Slide to pick up saw from storage 2 and storage 1 saw blade is loaded into shooting mechanism simultaneously. Blocks on the slide along the pistons pushing it left right would keep saw blades out of the mecanisms. Change the wheels to flower pots or other high friction wheel like object in the game. Perhaps a spinning high friction disc in stead of the bottom plate would make the saw blades spin. Good effort, sad that the game physics let you down. Good episode!
Me when u say "we need some defense": build something that's spin saw blade and shoot it Me when I saw this episode: ok I get idea but didn't say it, this person make it real
I know this video isn't about the flyer but I think I realized what is causing the noise in the flyer causing it to be non-consistent. I think the noise in the flyer is how you have them set on bearings so the floppy bearings can have a slight effect in this causing the thrusters to move ever so slightly to give it a different trajectory.
scrap man remember the hay bots are scared of saws then when they see one they walk back and won't go near it then when you shoot the saw they will walk away from it
for some reason (programming) collision physics works differently depending on what direction you're facing. possibly even affected by how close to 0,0 you are on the map. I tested this myself by making a vehicle powered by low friction blocks pressing into the sides of the wheels and in certain directions it would crawl while others it would go so fast it would lose control.
A few ideas: 1) Build a magazine with cardboard blocks between the saws, using a spud gun to knock it loose. 2) Use more wheels. It slowed down when you moved them closer together because they were actin on the ammo for a shorter period of time. 3) Try using haybot spines as the ammo. Instead of metal slabs. When you do that, have the wheels mounted at a 45 diagonal so gravity forces the spine into the wheels better.
you know you should try spinning one up before launching it, i suggest a design like those toy disc guns you can get for ammo reloading. and just have two wheels spinning it up before you launch it. So blade drops down. one piston pushes it into the spinner second piston launches it past the spinner wheels pull back both pistons to load another sawblade. makes me wonder if you can make a "spinning top" launcher and have it keep spinning..
I expected you to use an engine to speed up the sawblade, a cardboard to detach the sawblade from the bearing, and a piston to push the sawblade forwards towards the enemy at a high speed. You'd need some catching up to do, but it would at least work.
If the bearing is initially attached to the wheel, then the rotation is opposite what you’d think. This happened when my friend made some giant wheels.
Wow! I never thought ScrapMan would actually make my suggestion! Thanks for this! Hmmm... If you could make the blade spin and shoot it out via a potato cannon/cardboard combo, I think it would get more distance and power.
Hey scrapman, you should start building another base in your second place pick for base location, you will know a lot more about what needs to happen to make your base effective and more compact and possibly less laggy, and when survival updates and you start a new server you will have even more knowledge on base building
Making separate small platforms for each vehicle might lower the lag a bit, even while having the vehicles attached. As in each platform not attached to the base, but still incorporated into the base design.
Tell the developers of the game to add hank the hay bot . Make him look different than the rest. Maybe a different color like red. And make it so that you can trade with him. And he will have a name tag to identify him.... like so scrapman can see.
I've realise from one of the recent patch that bots are attracted to sounds (horn). You could build some kind of booby traps where you attracted bots with an alarm (totebots head) and have explosive that you can blow up when all the bots are arround your trap and maybe do a massive carnage.

Hey Scrapman! I've got a recommendation for a "cannon" as a weapon you should try out! Its a cannon I've called the "20 Mil". It fires Pipes at the enemy List of stuff required: 2 Mountable Spudguns, Some blocks, 1-1 ratio of cardboard and pipes, 1 button and 2 logic gates First thing, you must put some blocks as a base and put a line of cardboard down, (Recommend 3-5), You then put pipes on all of those cardboard pieces but only on 1 side, Second thing, you then need to put a mountable spudgun aiming at the cardboard and pipes so their in a row, and finally, Put down 2 logic gates and hook 1 up to the spudgun aiming at the pipes, then place the button, and hook it up to the spudgun aiming at the cardboard, and the absolute last thing, hook the button up to the logic gate that isnt hooked up to the spudgun, hook the button logic gate to the spudgun logic gate, and its done! A fully constructed 20 mil cannon, ScrapMan please see this it took about 30 minutes to type, Hope you like it!
Why not try attaching a block to the saw blades on top and bottom. Then u can create a groove in the frame for the blocks. This means no wheels are needed and u can use fast pistons. And it keeps the blade on a straight trajectory.
The piston had the best range. Just have the wheels be free floating or something and have a ton of pistons which extend to about just in front of your seat. That might work better
I like how he makes things unexpectedly failed but i always think that a mechanism like a catapult but in a sideways position with a spudgun facing card board where the powered bearing does the job of spinning it and a platform with sensor to activate the spud gun and launches the saw blade
Use three spudguns side by side,3 blocks of cardboard in front, a bearing on the middle of them, then the saw blade on the top (hook the bearing to an engine)
Since the sawblades are low friction, how about putting some blocks with higher friction on the top and bottom of the blade, so the wheels can grip those instead?
Try building a hamster ball out of tier 2/3 metal, have a seat inside and make it roll using thrusters and suspension glitch to turn. Once built, RAM INTO HAYBOTS, GREENIES and if you’re felling brave RAM INTO FARMBOTS TOO!!!!!!! Like so SM will see!
scrapman make a train to transport from your base to packing station and to the trader to tranport the crates from the packing station faster and less fule consuming
What if you tried a system that works almost like scissors, where two bars rotating from (almost) the same point (since rotating from the same point would cause the bars to pass by each other instead of colliding) where they clap together and push out the sawblade using pressure rather than friction?
If you put Wheels on the edges and spin different directions the saw should spin at least at close range also put a tube on the top and put free floating saws in it so you don’t have to reload as often
I DEMAND a magnificently menacing milk float for Hank to "ride," into glorious battle! Festooned with saw blades, explosive catapults, glowing red search lights and automated quad spud gun turrets? *belligerently brandishes pitch fork*
Hey scrapman....have you ever thought about putting a QR code on your merch that if scanned, goes to your youtube channel? Ive never seen a youtuber do it but ofcourse you would have to think about asking your fans by doing some sort of poll and you can use that same method to decide how to put the code on merch, which merch it goes on, where at on the merch and how big it is, etcetera so on and so forth. But i think it would be a neat idea to get more viewers and fans.
I feel like the "sad" music you keep playing when Hank leaves you is going to be your new theme song. It's happened so much lately it's now an expectation. . . . . .
The saw blade launcher is useful because it shoots a barrier for the bots so if you shoot it you can then get off you car and use the saw blade to your advantage as the bot will avoid it
You should make a clip system for it. So you have idk like 10 maybe saw blades in a tower and you shoot one and another saw blade drops into the system and is ready to fire.
SCRAP MAN!! I have an idea! Repurpose the saw vehicle as a wall maker! Need to build? Place saws around you with the SAW WALLER! Need to fix your traps? SAW WALLER! Who you gonna call? SAW WALLER!
What if you had a bearing under where the saw blade would be attached to wood or something spinning the saw for extra damage? Although that probably wouldn't work.
Spin the sawblade using bearing and put in on a cardboard and piston and make it so that when the piston pushes to the max there is a sensor amd spud gun
i would of used spudguns and use the recoil of them hitting to push it forward, would also make clips easier also could add a baring to spin the whole clip to get spinning blades being launched.
MM idea: who can make the worst weapon. make a weapon that does damage to bots (must be proven that it can do damage), then you randomly chose who gets which weapon and the weapon who kills less bots after 5 mins loses. (must have wheels and a minimum reasonable speed that doesn't have impact damage, and you must look for bots around the map)
So it works but you basically just need an autoloader system. Also i agree with the idea someone had of trying low level pistons instead of suspension. Also road and off-road suspension are different no?
I propose a Challenge!!! I'm not good at modelling or carving. But I challenge someone who's good at making clay models (and is a fan of scrapman) to make a little hank bot. And on your adventures in life, or any random things you do, take a picture with little hank on his quest for milk!!!
if u didn't know, the saw blades move each time u drive so the wheels have less time to generate speed hence your saw blade's distance will be cut drasticly that's why the saw blades were doing so little damage.people like this so scrap man see's it

SCRAP MAN!! I have an idea! Repurpose the saw vehicle as a wall maker! Need to build? Place saws around you with the SAW WALLER! Need to fix your traps? SAW WALLER! Who you gonna call? SAW WALLER!
multiplayer monday idea: play air hockey with a saw blade as the puck and the only building blocks you can use are cardboard and wood
YES!!!
Pale king: I'lL TakE yOUr EnTIrE StOCK
Dr. Bright: Hey! Leave me some!
What if you had a bearing under where the saw blade would be attached to wood or something spinning the saw for extra damage? Although that probably wouldn't work.
Scarpman : where is Hank
Hank : I got the milk
Scrapman: its not Centered
Me: DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO POINT THAT OUT, let the comment tell me so i won’t believe them
You could (kind of impractical) put another one of the launchers in by putting the one already there to the side
Spin the sawblade using bearing and put in on a cardboard and piston and make it so that when the piston pushes to the max there is a sensor amd spud gun
Try designing it like a Clay Skeet launcher! (doesn't require friction)
i would of used spudguns and use the recoil of them hitting to push it forward, would also make clips easier also could add a baring to spin the whole clip to get spinning blades being launched.
Here is a suggestion for the saw blade launcher instead of horizontal shoot it vertical
multiplayer Monday suggestion: soapbox racing on a saw blade on a hill
Good idea
add more pillars at the back of the base to make it look more realistic, i mean c'mon, like 2 pillars holding up an entire giant cube above it
is it just me or is it really satisfying when scrapman breaks the beeswax
You might have been able to make it spin with wheels and push it out with pistona
Make a vehicle that can climb warehouses! I think that might be useful and fun to make (and also watch you fail multiple times XD)
So it works but you basically just need an autoloader system.
Also i agree with the idea someone had of trying low level pistons instead of suspension.
Also road and off-road suspension are different no?
Plz take cow crates to trader as another experiment
I propose a Challenge!!! I'm not good at modelling or carving. But I challenge someone who's good at making clay models (and is a fan of scrapman) to make a little hank bot. And on your adventures in life, or any random things you do, take a picture with little hank on his quest for milk!!!
if u didn't know, the saw blades move each time u drive so the wheels have less time to generate speed hence your saw blade's distance will be cut drasticly that's why the saw blades were doing so little damage.people like this so scrap man see's it
"He won't even know what hit him, even though we've been doing it for 5 minutes." 🤣
you should make a piston sweeper to get rid of the left over bot parts left over from the turrets!
Scrap man please look at the chainsaw sawblade launcher weapon in the game "kill it with fire"
Make a sawblade hovercraft!
And use just a chamber with pistons to launch the metal thing (like your castle wars thing)
