You know Barbara you are absolutely right. I have a blood cancer, multiple myeloma, for three years and doing creative work helps me a lot. Today, for example, while I was dripping immunoglobulins thinking that I would then go to Action to buy acrylics. Your videos are very entertaining, the one on the Gelli Plate is fantastic. Your videos distract me and at the same time stimulate me and the disease takes a back seat.
I also have Multiple Myeloma, had stem cell transplant. I can’t express enough how the creative TH-cam videos have helped me also. Take care and stay creative. 💖💖

Love your creations and this project is amazing but I have to say that your video creating the page with the chimpanzee and his friend the bird really reached me emotionally. It reminded me of the book "The One and Only Ivan". You didn't just create a beautiful art piece, you also created a story with a message. I can picture that as a beautiful children's book! Love this journal and enjoyed Dephemerember! At first I thought the journal was somewhat over-embellished already before even starting, but as I watched you create, I realized there were still things that could be added to take it over the top. Beautiful and inspiring!
I am SO SAD that it's over! Waking up in the morning without Dephemerember feels absolutely terrible! I am so proud of what we've done together 😊 the only thing I really regret is, that we've not decided to swap the journals back! Aaaargh! I love this journal so much! I want it back! This was my first Dephemerember and I loved it; both you and Luise were amazing... so creative and inspiring. The ideas y'all came up with were outstanding and so enjoyable to watch each day begin with a critter card and an international treat, and end up with an incredible junk journal page and a fun chuckle watching y'all try each treat. Some zoos, at least here in the US, house animals that were rescued when injured in the wild. Those that can will be rehabilitated and released, others who wouldn’t survive in the wild anymore due to their injuries, will remain in the zoos to educate and inspire, especially if they were hurt by human carelessness in the first place. ❤
I have enjoyed DEPHEMEREMBER so much. I have enjoyed both yours and Luise’s videos. I love Luise’s journal. It is a piece of art. I wouldn’t want anything less than what she gave you and I feel the same for the journal you made for her.
Regarding working in a partially embellished journal, I would say that if it was a good friend who made and embellished the journal I would use it for inspiration. I would take that inspiration and build upon what is already in the journal- Just like you did Barbara.

I love that you used so much color in this journal based on Luisa's pre added embellishments. At first I thought I would prefer blank pages. But I can see some advantage of pre set pages. I'm making my very first junk journal due to the series. I am going to try to predo some random pages with my thoughts and feelings as I make them and let them guide me when I start over with the prompts. TY for sharing this walk through.
I you have dark parts that are too dark for you, and they are still water-reactive, you can wet them with a brush or spray, and blot with a towel. Barbara, what can I say? I love ❣ your snacks journal but this one has so much more meaning. It is a true testament to your friendship with Luise. On rainy days, when you are feeling down, it will be a wonderful, cozy feeling to flip through and think of all the love that was put into making this journal and all the memories of the daily stories you built throughout December. My favourite story is the one with the chimp and the bird dreaming of flying off to the jungle. This series was so much more than just a collection of craft videos (although I truly enjoyed all the tips and tricks you showed us). I know I will watch it again, probably more than once. I think both journals were wonderfully made! Even though Luise might have included some colorful items, I am sure she would have been fine with you removing them, or reusing them in a different way if you wanted/needed to. She removed parts of pages in the journal that you made for her. Both journals ended up simply lovely. I DO believe that you are using a lot more color that you have in the past. It's funny how Luise put so many bright colors in the one she made for you (even though she is so attached to the "grunge" style herself. Love your work.

I just finished the flip through of this album and it is incredible! You are so talented and creative. I normally do DD and enjoy it, but this year I couldn’t get myself into it for various reasons. I actually love the holiday season. I really wish I would’ve picked up on this because it’s not specifically tied to the holiday season, yet would have allowed me to be creative and produce something. I may actually use this download list and put pieces in it in my scrapbook/journal this year. I really like the inclusion of an animal each day part, because I love animals, and it would be fun to find a way to inject them into a page or into a store you’re trying to tell. One funny moment was when I ran into another woman at a farmhouse vintage fair, and we were both looking at antique and vintage photographs and I was grabbing sorting through them and she was looking for certain ones, so we were helping each other out, and then the subject of this Came up and we both realized that we found a kindred soul. So it was quite a lovely moment. All because of vintage and antique photographs, which I could have gone through for hours! ❤
Barbara this series has been a true blessing to me. I think I agree with you that the decor that Luise added to the journal are a vital part of your ideas as you filled the pages. I would love to work in a journal that came to me from someone that I love packed full of their art (talented ideas). The two of you have such a fabulous bond and your talents compliment each other. A suggestion for 2023. Please include the focal point of the day to the prompt list. When I go back to the prompt list now, I can't remember which animal to use. 🙃
Could you maybe just write them down on the prompt list with each video or chose one on your own? It was so much fun finding out what animal was chosen for each day. It made the ephemera more spontaneous when you don't know ahead of time what animal will be chosen.😊 It could also be fun to chose an animal that could match the prompt if you are doing this later. I may have to go through the prompts again and create more ephemera....think of all the fun stories you could make to go along with each piece. 😃
Maybe Barbara & Luise could write the animal next to the prompt when they tick it off, so that way, at the end of the month there’s a complete list but we get the surprise each day. Of course, a quick flick through of the videos will show you which animal went with each day.
I really like the addition of the flying fish to the swimming hamster page. As you said, Dephemerember is a time to grow creatively. What I noticed for myself is how much my work changed as the month progressed. I was much more willing to play with the materials. Thanks to you and Luise, I learned a lot! This was my first Dephemerember and I loved it; both you and Luise were amazing... so creative and inspiring. The ideas y'all came up with were outstanding and so enjoyable to watch each day begin with a critter card and an international treat, and end up with an incredible junk journal page and a fun chuckle watching y'all try each treat. Thank you so much and I look forward to 2023.

Some zoos, at least here in the US, house animals that were rescued when injured in the wild. Those that can will be rehabilitated and released, others who wouldn’t survive in the wild anymore due to their injuries, will remain in the zoos to educate and inspire, especially if they were hurt by human carelessness in the first place. ❤
I have enjoyed DEPHEMEREMBER so much. I have enjoyed both yours and Luise’s videos. I love Luise’s journal. It is a piece of art. I wouldn’t want anything less than what she gave you and I feel the same for the journal you made for her.

Regarding working in a partially embellished journal, I would say that if it was a good friend who made and embellished the journal I would use it for inspiration. I would take that inspiration and build upon what is already in the journal- Just like you did Barbara.

I love that you used so much color in this journal based on Luisa's pre added embellishments. At first I thought I would prefer blank pages. But I can see some advantage of pre set pages. I'm making my very first junk journal due to the series. I am going to try to predo some random pages with my thoughts and feelings as I make them and let them guide me when I start over with the prompts. TY for sharing this walk through.

I you have dark parts that are too dark for you, and they are still water-reactive, you can wet them with a brush or spray, and blot with a towel. See if that can help a couple of your projects that are darker than you like.

It is so wonderful to have watched you and Luise for two months: making the journals for each other, opening your journals and flipping through them, working in them for 25 days and then sharing the final flip through. Thank you for gifting this journey with us. The generosity of spirit and love that comes through all the videos must affect all of us.
Barbara, what can I say? I love ❣ your snacks journal but this one has so much more meaning. It is a true testament to your friendship with Luise. On rainy days, when you are feeling down, it will be a wonderful, cozy feeling to flip through and think of all the love that was put into making this journal and all the memories of the daily stories you built throughout December. My favourite story is the one with the chimp and the bird dreaming of flying off to the jungle. This series was so much more than just a collection of craft videos (although I truly enjoyed all the tips and tricks you showed us). I know I will watch it again, probably more than once. Thank you. 💖
I think both journals were wonderfully made! Even though Luise might have included some colorful items, I am sure she would have been fine with you removing them, or reusing them in a different way if you wanted/needed to. She removed parts of pages in the journal that you made for her. Both journals ended up simply lovely. I DO believe that you are using a lot more color that you have in the past. It's funny how Luise put so many bright colors in the one she made for you (even though she is so attached to the "grunge" style herself. Love your work.

I just finished the flip through of this album and it is incredible! You are so talented and creative. I normally do DD and enjoy it, but this year I couldn’t get myself into it for various reasons. I actually love the holiday season. I really wish I would’ve picked up on this because it’s not specifically tied to the holiday season, yet would have allowed me to be creative and produce something. I may actually use this download list and put pieces in it in my scrapbook/journal this year. I really like the inclusion of an animal each day part, because I love animals, and it would be fun to find a way to inject them into a page or into a store you’re trying to tell.
One funny moment was when I ran into another woman at a farmhouse vintage fair, and we were both looking at antique and vintage photographs and I was grabbing sorting through them and she was looking for certain ones, so we were helping each other out, and then the subject of this Came up and we both realized that we found a kindred soul. So it was quite a lovely moment. All because of vintage and antique photographs, which I could have gone through for hours! ❤

A suggestion for 2023. Please include the focal point of the day to the prompt list. When I go back to the prompt list now, I can't remember which animal to use. 🙃
Could you maybe just write them down on the prompt list with each video or chose one on your own? It was so much fun finding out what animal was chosen for each day. It made the ephemera more spontaneous when you don't know ahead of time what animal will be chosen.😊 It could also be fun to chose an animal that could match the prompt if you are doing this later. I may have to go through the prompts again and create more ephemera....think of all the fun stories you could make to go along with each piece. 😃
Maybe Barbara & Luise could write the animal next to the prompt when they tick it off, so that way, at the end of the month there’s a complete list but we get the surprise each day. Of course, a quick flick through of the videos will show you which animal went with each day.
I really like the addition of the flying fish to the swimming hamster page. As you said, Dephemerember is a time to grow creatively. What I noticed for myself is how much my work changed as the month progressed. I was much more willing to play with the materials. Thanks to you and Luise, I learned a lot! Thank you for your time and creativity!
