I've been vaguely aware of it for a long time, probably part of being terminally online haha. I think most of my actual interest in actually looking into it and then later marathoning it was because of the ending theme for Kirakira PreCure a la Mode showing up in my playlists when I was doing essays a couple of years back. I had the music set to autoplay, so the algorithm would kinda just throw whatever at me haha. Eventually, it hit that one, and I liked it, but it disappeared and I never actually saw what it was, and couldn't remember enough of the song to search for it until it randomly reappeared a couple of years after that. At some point after listening to that and a few of the other EDs for a while and learning a bit more about the franchise and its massive influence, my growing interest worked up enough to actually start watching the series, and I figured I might as well start at the beginning since I had the time for it (this was during the hard lockdowns for the US in 2020). It was a bit over two years after that I decided to start writing down my thoughts on them, but up until that point, I had only made it through two or three seasons. This year alone I've made it through five somehow. Magical girls, much like life, comes at you fast haha.
NEVER going to get ENGLISH DUB EVER Futari wa did but it only aired in Canada and still FAILED their AS ONE but as of NOW ONLY Futari Wa Smile and Doki Doki are the ONLY ones with English dubs all 3 OF THEM FAILED which is why the OTHER 18 + all the PRECURE Movies will likely NEVER SEE another English dub version EVER.
It sure seems unlikely, true! However, there's always a possibility later down the line that we'll see one, with a little luck and a significantly better advertising campaign haha. My only real hope is that any future dubs don't cut out content like the Glitter Force adaptations have, even if they continue the arguably outdated practice of changing the names. We can only hope, right? lol
