How to play Frost Death Knight/ Breath of Sindragosa | Inside the mind of a Frost DK (TWW Season 1)

- Join me in this 11 grim batol where I go through how I play Frost Death Knight as someone with 2700 io score.
You can learn my rotation while im in my breath of syndragosa window as well as what I do outside of breath, how I use my reapers mark and pillar of frost to top dps meters and what goes on during keys.
You can track my cooldown usage as well as the order in which I hit my buttons. I go over the talents I use and overall the ways in which I play my character.
Hopefully this walk through/ playtrhough on frost death knight helps you learn the character and preform better in your own respective keys.

This is a really good format to watch. I do a lot of research to learn classes which is fine, but hearing what better players are thinking about when going through the dungeons is really helpful.👍🏼

Just started playing dk and this is pretty helpful. I tend to do like twice the damage on unholy as i can on frost and its definitely a skissue lol
@@brice9013 happy to help :) and all good it takes some practice! A huge part of our dmg and making the class feel better is having a good amount of crit, then just practice keeping breath up and you’ll be pumping in no time :)
I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a skill issue as much as it’s a tank/group issue.
While Frost is very strong, it’s very much reliant on cooldown windows and huge, tight pulls.
@@MikeyJ232 this is also very true, hard part of pugs is not all tanks will pull huge around your breath so that will be a part of it as well
What key level does breath become better than shattering blades and frostwyrms fury?
@@codycook8835 I would say maybe 8s and up as packs start to live for an entire breath window however what’s more important than that is how much fun you are having playing the build :) if you enjoy breath play it that’s really all that matters
Hey man how much crit mast do you have ? Do you think bos is feasible for 8-9 keys?
@@jeremynaipaul5729 I have about 28% crit and 60% mastery and yea I think you can get close to bis on all hero track peices but trying to get those mythic tracks will help a ton too :)
Frost dk got about 8% buff in new patch is so fucking crazy

Looking good overall, but if I may, you should maybe consider using ur Howling Blast more often in ur Breaths with the free procs, you should have time to benefit from the damage, when ur waiting for runes to get back - of course being in the range of 40+ of RP. But overall great video and very informal in regards to the frost playstyle, keep it up cheif!

Could you give a list of your addons? (elvui setup, action tracker, etc)
@@ctyler10889 most of my UI comes from Noawh and his ELVUi profile, in terms of add ons tho the important ones I use are big wigs and little wigs, omni cd, plater, weak auras. Then to add some extra to it I have a key add on (any work) details, MDT and twitch emotes cause that’s always a fun one :P
@@AnurekTV i spent lke 5 hours last night trying to setup elvui, i just couldnt get past everything being blocky/dark (world map, any quest or dialogue box, etc) I turned off most of elvui besides the unitframes and bars but everything still seemed to be blocky/dark
@@ctyler10889 yea the first time I tried it I didn’t end up using it either but I really like how simple and clean Noawh’s ui was so I tried it again
@@AnurekTV spent another few hours today lol, got it to look identical using SUF, bartender, omnicc, and weakauras for the power bars
Just a heads up, the aoe roar on the first boss is not magical dmg, is physical.
@@frederikkjr9366 good to know mb then, someone told me it was magical and I just never checked I think GB is my least run Dungeon this season by a huge margin hahaha
@@AnurekTV All good, i learned it because i ket trying to use ams for rp to feed BoS while farming the ring, but it didnt work ^^
Love the vid, I rerolled fdk this season and am having a blast. Figured I would share the macro I use for Breath. It casts breath but doesnt allow recast of the ability (that usually stops breath).

@@KomaEU ideally as much as possible but try not to use a charge if you know you’ll use 2 in the next pack or if your breath is getting low

Im new to the frost dk. Im facing a problem where I find myself out of resources a lot of times, so I keep just auto attacking. What should I do to improve as a frost dk?
Also, could you make a step by step guide on your UI? I really liked it and i want to ditto it
@@yuripires9025 hey so I experienced this as well when I first started playing there are most likely 2 causes 1 you don’t have enough crit 2 you might not be spending runic power enough
We have a talent that gives us back runes when we crit and one that gives us back runes when spending RP so it could be either or both of these
@@yuripires9025 my UI is actually from a streamer named Naowh if you sub to him on twitch you get all the access to it and everything I have on my screen as well as how to set it up

@@yuripires9025 hmm ok interesting, might be just over capping on RP a lot or just getting unlucky with procs there are times where you get starved but shouldn’t be a ton of times throughout key

Hey man, honestly the amount of mistakes, deaths, I avoided and overall utility I started bringing to the group once I stopped playing breath is not even comparable. I just don't have the brain power to focus in all of that AND keep breath going. I just go with razorice Obliteration build which btw sims higher than breath for AoE for me and Unholy Festering scythe for big pull keys which is even more dmg but lacks a bit in ST.
I just leave BoS to the pros since it feels terrible in 2 minutes CD. Your trinkets don't really line up, so many people equip 2 on-use ones. It's very much dependent on organized pulls and the tank chain pulling to boost your dmg, and you lose focus from mechanics unless you are GIGA-brained, which I'm not. Give it a try, friend!

I have tried the obliterate build a few times and I feel like I just overall just enjoy the breath build a bit more and provide a bit more damage overall throughout the key but I’m not saying it’s the right way it’s just I personally enjoy it more. I do like to go back to the obliterate build now and again to give it a try. I haven’t tried unholy yet but plan to in the future :)
