Hi Pete - I have a Glider IT Sword DS - It was a complete pleasure to build and it is my go to slope soarer. Yours looks very similar. Great build series.

Hi Graham Thank you for watching my channel and your king words. I fully agree the Glider IT models are always a pleasure to build, are good quality and always fly well. Happy flying with the Sword this is another great model from the Gliders IT range.

Hi Gerry Thank you for watching my video and your question. I have always taped my wings on to models using electricians tape for models under 3m wing span and have never had issues. The main reason for this is it is not possible to get your hands in to bolt the wings on. I have also found with models at this size it is easy to damage the model when removing the wing if using pin retainers. The wing root and fus is easily damaged when inserting the wedge to separate the wing from the fus.
My method for taping the wings on is as follows 1, start the taping process on the top surface of the right wing leading edge, 2 work towards the trailing edge of the wing, 3, go around the trailing edge and under the right wing 4, come over the leading edge of the right wing to meet and cover where you started, 5, continue diagonally across the top of the fus to the the traling edge of the left wing 6, continue under the left wing 7, come over the top of the left wing leading edge and continue down to the trailing edge to meet at the point where you came across the top of the fus.
What is important with this method is to ensure the tape is overlapping the wing and fus on all areas and and be continuous on all steps above. Dont stop, cut.and start again.
