Easiest way to play the parts game would be to buy gold and silver age covers only where it's just the cover you're buying. Then try to locate a coverless copy

That Batman #4 is the first mention of 'Gotham City" in the Batman comics so, no pressure handling what technically is a "key" Golden Age comic (a "low-key" comic? I dunno...)

Soap is great to remove the oils to avoid fingerprints on the book, but sanitizer leaves a residue

Careful with the golden age books. They’re the last to drop. First modern dropped. Then copper. Then bronze down 70%. Next is silver and gold to drop.
Why ? No speculators pumping up golden age books. Scarce and have steadily and consistently risen in price for decades
