I remember I was in 7th grade getting ready for school and BET or MTV dropped this music video and I was shocked and became an even bigger Eminem fan that day. The song came out way before 2009. I remember I was even more excited for the Encore album.
But unfortunately, the song was released too late for the election registration deadline. And the album itself came out after the election had already taken place. Em has even said he wished he released it earlier. Still a great song though.
Maybe Em could have released the song at least before the election back then, or maybe he was prevented from releasing the song as a single in advance of the election to limit its influence politically? Hmmm 🤔

This was Em at his most controversial, he was battling drugs (most in his career) this album was also his worst (on the charts) and the only album that didn’t go multi platinum. I love most of the album and this song was definitely a favorite in the day. Just imagine if we had reaction videos back then!
I forgot how good this song is.. everything has meaning and you can feel the tension building as the song progresses. Not many of today’s artists can pull a song like this so don’t even think about ittttttt
I can always remember his line "Strap him up with an ak47 let him go fight his own war impress daddy that way " I don't why when ever someone mentions this track that line always comes to mind I was 10 when I first heard this so I really didn't understand it but as I got older and learned more about the wars I picked up on it
As a person who was alive on 9-11 I think this is as deep and honest as Em has ever been. You could react to this song 5 more times and you'd still be missing some of the most powerful references in the video. My all time favorite Eminem song. 9-11 America never forgets!
Man, I'm not American and I do not live in the USA, so this song does not have the same impact on me as on you all, but man... I loved this song when I was young for the way it sounds and now for the message. It's so powerful. And I had never seen the clip, maybe it was forbidden to show it to other countries, who knows? But seeing it now, the song just became even more powerful. I love it when people dare speak out, because in this world, that takes guts. Eminem has gotten in trouble with the secret service because of songs like this, right? I also happen to love "We As Americans", the one requested by ashraf dx. I second that one coach.

Soldiers are usually victims of our society’s propaganda machine. As Noam Chomsky argues consent is manufactured. I only view well educated older soldiers as victimizers. The young ignorant ones don’t know what they are getting involved with.
Hey Shaq, great reaction. Love all of your content. A few things I wanted to point out. The book in the beginning eminem was reading was a reenactment of the book reading scene that Bush was reading was known as "My Pet Goat" to an elementary school classroom, and he was reading it upside down and asking the class to repeat the words as he was saying them, this was right as he was told the towers had been struck. The book itself has been banned worldwide for a multitude of satanic phrases and imagery. Additionally, the song was originally released in 2004 at the peak of the Bush Jr era. People were waking up and this woke them all up for a second, but the mainstream media did not allow this song to be played and MTV took it down due to the music video being so provocative. I truly believe that if this video were to be rereleased today and went viral that we would have another insurgency on the capitol, without a doubt. Whether that is good or bad is upto the people.
I've only recently discovered this channel. Does this man by chance have a channel with his own raps? Because I agree with him on basically everything. He's fucking brilliant.

This is one of my FAVORITE songs. Came out right before that 2004 election I believe with John Kerry. But this beat, his flow, substance, and punchlines with a crazy chorus and outro make this a CLASSIC.

Tens of millions of people know this already. Only kids say he has no content. One Eminem song has more content than some entire new albums do. That's not even an exaggeration.
No content? Lmao wtf more do u need than tryin to get white n black to stand together as a whole and fight,,yet u got stupid people that think it whjte vs black so they win by keepin everyone devided as they want kt to be,,,Em the one of a few lyrical GOATS!!
Last few albums it's been like that. I think Encore was the last real Em album.
And he did all this said so much against bush during wartime. One of main reasons I've love em since I was lil kid. He stands behind what he says and feels
whenever shaq mentions EMINEM
MY THUMB: HERE I GO.
🤣🔥💓😇
Damn straight
I remember I was in 7th grade getting ready for school and BET or MTV dropped this music video and I was shocked and became an even bigger Eminem fan that day. The song came out way before 2009. I remember I was even more excited for the Encore album.
Think I was around the same grade to I remember getting ready for school and this coming on after 9/11
Song came out 2004 I was a freshman in high school when the song came out. The music video is one of my all time favorite music videos of all time.
John BringsYellow I had my second child in 2004! Dude, quite making me feel old! 😂😂😂
But unfortunately, the song was released too late for the election registration deadline.
And the album itself came out after the election had already taken place. Em has even said he wished he released it earlier.
Still a great song though.
@@RYMAN1321 He released it late? "DAT'S TUFF!" :D
Maybe Em could have released the song at least before the election back then, or maybe he was prevented from releasing the song as a single in advance of the election to limit its influence politically? Hmmm 🤔
I been telling people this ever since he mentioned trump. Idk why people were so surprised
Cause they the real snowflakes
Why did Em never criticise Obama? Obama started more wars than Bush...

Not really. Google Rachel Chandler and Eminem.

@GhostRNL saw that too. Pains me that that's there. Along with so many other celebrities. I'm glad there's other people who know about this.

What I felt when I first saw this, it was back in 2004, I was in high school and was soon to be of voting age. This song is about fighting back thru voting. Make your voice heard.
Now that you are back on the old Em tracks, we need Bitch Please II, Lets get it!

Dude i remember hearing this song the first time i listened to the eminem show. I got shivers then and it still gets me hype as hell. Just hearing it again after not for awhile and i got those same goosebumps all over again. This kinda stuff is why i listen to EM.
Encore
I remember buying the Marshall Mathers LP when I was young young.
Put it in my boom box, layed on the floor in my bedroom.
My older brother had the Eminem Show.
Got Encore for Christmas (explicit version 🙂)
Have a great day
Yes the em reactions are back 🔥🔥
Mosh wow takes me back. Also known as "the song we should've listened to" the song actually came out in 2004 I believe, and it wasn't particularly big in 2004 for an Eminem
Brandon Ford real talk rarely is unfortunately. Still to this day the ones really talking are pushed aside for the simple repetitive crap in the mainstream
Eminem the GOAT. I listened to this I'm my Walkman in middle school.
This was Em at his most controversial, he was battling drugs (most in his career) this album was also his worst (on the charts) and the only album that didn’t go multi platinum. I love most of the album and this song was definitely a favorite in the day. Just imagine if we had reaction videos back then!
I realy enjoy when shaq react to eminem
I forgot how good this song is.. everything has meaning and you can feel the tension building as the song progresses. Not many of today’s artists can pull a song like this so don’t even think about ittttttt
People forget that Slim Shady has always been out there when it comes to politics
Let's go love the intro coach!
Bobbing your head to the beat is vindication for me because I do that every time I hear this song xD
When someone tells me idk why eminem is now getting involved in politics just because of trump I just show them this song lol

Marshall has the same rights of free speech as everybody else.
He is lit, that was fire, he is dope. I love Eminem!!!
It's funny tho if he was a conservative it would be "hate speech"

Which is why the reaction to his freestyle on Trump caught me off guard. He’s BEEN dissing stupid politicians. Bush, Palin, Hillary, Trump have all gotten dissed by him. (He really likes Obama).
But crickets for Obama...not a word about that disaster we let happen Twice.

This song had mix emotions in the military. On board my ship, we used to listen to "Loose Yourself" before we started a mission, lots of fans. Thou the message in this song makes sense, back in '04 it definitely triggered lots of people. Some of us were 18-21 years old, and we believed we were out there fighting to free the people. Still a fan though.. the man is a genius!
ur NME I think we all got fooled at the time. We’re too smart for that now.

Soldiers are usually victims of our society’s propaganda machine. As Noam Chomsky argues consent is manufactured. I only view well educated older soldiers as victimizers. The young ignorant ones don’t know what they are getting involved with.
Listening to this again gives me goosebumps. Eminem is the truth! Thanks coach!

Wasn’t this song. It was “We as Americans” which is on the same album.
@@RealPlasmodium Thx for the correction 👍😊
Eminem addresses that issue of “the fbi pulling his file” on the song: PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE off the RE-UP Album
Shaq the reaction GOAT

I was younger when this dropped and wasn’t really aware of what was happening in 2005. I thought he was just doing what Eminem does. I feel like those words in that track are almost more true today than ever before. Maybe they’ve been true for a lot longer than that and people are just starting to wake up.
