My clothes purgatory is a small section in the closet with hangers labeled "reserved". My husband's is a side table by his desk. My kids' clothes never go to purgatory. It's strictly heaven or hell.
Wow! I love that idea. Still hanging, keeping them neater - but on specific labeled hangers!! Like, I wear certain clothes for going out: church, dinner, etc. I only have them on for an hour or so; this would be a perfect solution for those.
When I lived alone and right before I met my wonderful wife, I had 3 piles of laundry. They went in this order on the floor 1= clean, 2= purgatory clothes, 3= dirty. I only had to do laundry on about 2 or 3 times a month.

I was hoping to see a solution to clothes purgatory (usually the clothes chair). And it is not just guys, I thought it was just about everyone - I wonder what his wife does ? Seems like maybe she has the answer
Thanks you! I’ve often wondered why builders don’t build a close purgatory shelf in the closet. I set up a shelf in my husbands closet for exactly this reason….does he use it??? No 😞

Put a nice 😊hang up system on the back of the door. Clothes are off the floor, handy and airing. “In-between cloths”
